Oil 4710 Great Northern Blvd. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 20 square foot variance for one side <br />of pole sign. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06(f)(4). Request <br />variance for additional pole sign on property. Violation of Ord. 87-93, <br />Section 1163.06(b)(4). Also, request 76.5 square foot variance for total sign <br />area. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06(d). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to k4r. Bliler, representing B.P., and Mr. Miller, sign <br />contractor, who presented pictures of the standard B.P. Pro-Care pole sign <br />which is to be installed adjacent to Brookpark Road. They maintain that they <br />are having an identity :problesn because the facility is behindICiddie City and <br />the bank, and there is no access at that point from Brookpark Road. Mr. <br />Gomersall questioned the identity problem because it took him 4 days to get an <br />appointment there last week. Mr. Bugala stated that he is not in favor of it. <br />B. Grace moved that the request of B.P. Oil 4710 Great Northern Boulevard, for <br />a 20 square foot variance for one side of a gole sign , a variance for an <br />additional pole sign on property; and a 76.5 square foot variance for total <br />sign area, seconded by T. Restifo: Roll call an motion: Grace and Gomersall., <br />yes. Grace, Bugala and Helon, no. Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. <br />Mr. Miller was advised that they may return to the Board if they reduce their <br />request by 25%, and also that there are other-pole signs on the property, but <br />they do not belong to B.P. ? 5. Sunset Memorial Park Association 6181 CoTumbia Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 55 foot variance for width of lot in <br />residential district. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.05. <br />Referred from Planning Commission November 13, 1990. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Giesser and R. Ziegman, representing Sunset Meriorial Park; <br />and neighbors R. Jack and J. Reese. Mr. Ziegman presented a better plot plan <br />and explained that at present this is a 6 acre parcel with 1 residence on it. <br />They are trying to sell off the house and a large portion of the land, but <br />would like to maintain a strip of land along the edge of the property to be <br />used for a service drive and"a small portion in the rear. At present delivery <br />trucks are using the cemetery drives and are damaging the trees which over <br />grow the drives. There is a curb cut on the property and the buyers of the <br />home wi]1 have the option of using that curb cut or putting in their own. It <br />was verified that Mr. Reese and Mr. Jack are owners of properties which touch <br />the cemetery, but face on old Columbia Road. It was clarified that the 80 foot <br />required for frontage was measured at the building line, not a the front of <br />the property where the drive is 65 feet wide. B. Grace moved to grant the <br />request of Sunset Memorial Park Association, 6181 Columbia road for the 55 <br />foot variance for width of lot in a residential area, seconded by J. Helon, <br />and Lmanimously approved. Variance granted. , <br />6. Barlo Plaza 30582 to 30600 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to install second pole sign <br />on property. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06(b)(4). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />3 .
