<br />Chairman Gomersall ca.lled all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Councilman G. Nashar, neighbors, Mrs. Skettle, Mr. Penrod, and <br />Mr. and Mrs. Frieg, and Ms. Priestas, representing Hennie Homes, who is asking <br />for a 9 squa.re foot directional sign for an estimated time period of from 2 to 3 <br />years. The sign will be installed on a- residential lot across from the driveway <br />and they have approval from the owner. She explained that the Cinnamon Woods <br />entrance is setback from Barton and not easily seen. Some of their prospects are <br />older and have had trouble finding the driveway. Councilman Nashar objected to <br />having a sign up all the time and suggested a portable sign which could be <br />removed. Mr. Penrod stated that previously a sign had been placed in the right of <br />way, but they were forced to remove it. It was clarified that there were two <br />variances required, but both pertained to one sign. Mrs. Slcettle suggested that <br />they install a street sign which wovld probably help. The street cannot be <br />dedicated until after construction is complete, but Law Director Gareau advised <br />that a street sign could be installed regardless. Neighbors had many complaints <br />about construction noise early in the mornings. The members stated that the first time <br />Marathon came in they refused to grant a variance, and the owner returned with an <br />improved proposal which they granted.
