<br />4. Gerald Pochatek, 23869 Amesbury Drive. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 286=square foot variance for covcrage of <br />rear yard in excess of the permitted 20% to install swinuning pool. Violation of <br />Ord. 90-125, Seetion 1135.02(d)(2). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Pochatek. It was clarified that the 286 square foot was not <br />the size of the pool, it was the square foot area of the rear yard coverage over <br />the 20% permitted. Mr. Pochatek stated that i:t does not take much to go over the <br />amount allowed when there is a detached garage. FIe ha.s not decided if the fence <br />is going to be put on the pool or around the yard, but he will do one or the <br />other. Mr. Maloney was concerned about the power lines, and Mr. Pochatek advised <br />that 'the wire shown on the drat,ing was the cable wire which can .be moved. The <br />-power lines are much further over. W. Purper?.moved to grant the request of Gerald <br />Pochatek, 23869 Amesbury Drive,• a 286 square foot variance for coverage of rear <br />yard in excess of the permitted 20% to install a swimming pool, seconded by.B. <br />Grace, and unanimously approved. Request•204 square foot variance for coverage of <br />rear yard in excess of the permitted 20% to construct new deck (pool and existing <br />deek an property). <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(d)(2). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. I-lavinka. Mr. Gomersall had no problem with this at a11e Mr. <br />Grace stated that it was a ni ce loaking yard.. R. Gomersall moved to grant the <br />request to Mr. William Hlavinka, 6173 Sandpiper Lane, for a 204 square foot <br />variance for coverage of rear yard in excess of the permitted 20% to construct a <br />new deck (pool and existing deck on property), seconded by T. . Koberna and <br />unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />6. Joseph S. Calucchia, 4191 Columbia Road.. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 3 foot front setback variance, 6 inch <br />side yard variance and variance to have garage in the front yard in a Single <br />Family District. Violations of Ord..90-1Z5, Sections 1135a06(a)' 1135.07(a) and <br />1161.08. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Hilpert, a neighbo'r, and Mr. Calucchia who explained that he <br />had remodeled the back of the house and did not want a garage in back to ruin the <br />view. Having an attached gaxage in the front will make the house look bigger. One <br />window wiil have to be removed. Mr. Grace stated that it would make the house <br />look like a large coloniale The plans were explained to Mr. Hilpert, then the <br />oath was administered to Mrs. Hilpert...Neither had any objection. B. Grace moved <br />to grant to Joseph S. Caluccia, 4191 Colunbia Road, a 3 foot front setbaek <br />variance, a 6 inch side yard variance, and a variance to have garage in the front <br />yard in a Single Family District, seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously <br />approved. Variances granted. <br />7. Exercare Fitness Equipment, 25323 Lorain.Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 14 square foot variance for sign area <br />for service (rear) entrance (Z square foot allowed); request variance for second <br />wall sign; request 16 square foot variance for total sign area allowed for a <br />business unite Violations of Ord. 90-125; Sections 1163,10(c); 1163.12(a); and <br />1163.11(c). <br />Cha.irman Gomersall called a11 interested parties before the board.
