He maintained that <br />this sign would also give him some visibility from the large.parking lot behind <br />'.hir,i. Mr. Gomersall quEStioned if A.T,& I. and Bobbicks received variances for <br />their signs. Building Commissioner Gonway stated that these wall signs were <br />permitted tmder the old code. Mr. Gomersall is concerned about having sign ir? the <br />back of a building. Mr. Grace has no problem with this sign and pointed out that <br />the other units have dual entrances with signs there (there is no entrance for <br />this store in back). Mr. Mauer submitted a letter from .the owner who stated that <br />he did not object. Nirm PurpEr agteed that this sign was needed. T. K+bberna moved <br />to grant a request for Exercare Fitness Equipment, 25323 Lorain Road, to grant a <br />14 square foot variance for sign area for service entrance (2 square foot <br />?. :. allowed); to grant a varianc6 for a second wall sign and to grant a 16 square <br />foot variance for total sign area alloaed for a business unit, seconded liy B. <br />Grace, and unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />g, Thomas Wagner, 26716 Chapel Hi11 Drive. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 46 square foot variance for area of shed <br />exceeding 2% of the rear yard. Viclation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(d)(1). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all intPrested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. and Mrs. Wagner, who presented letters from both adjacsnt <br />neighbors. Neither the neighbors nor the members had any problem with this <br />request. J. Maloney moved to grarit the request of Thomas Wagner, 26716 Chapel <br />Hi11 Drive, for a 46 square foot variance for area of shed exceeding Z% of the <br />rear yard, seconded by W. Purper, and lmarLmously approved. . Variance granted. <br />g, John Kahl, 27591 Cottonwood Trail <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 12 •foot rear yard variance to replace <br />existing screen porch with patio enclosure. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section <br />1138.08)(a). Also request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling. <br />Special permit required by Ord. 90-125, Section 1165.02(b)(1). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parti.es before the boarda The oath was <br />administered to Mr..Kahl, and Mr. Hollis, draftsman for the contraetor.' Mr. Kahl <br />explained that this strueture will be within the parameters of the existing <br />enclosure. W. Purper moved to grant the request to J. Kahl, 27591 Cottonwood <br />Trail, for a 12 foot rear yard variance to replaee existing screen porch with <br />patio enclosure, and also a special permit to add to a non-conforming dwelling, <br />seconded by B. Grace, and unanimously approved. Variance and special perrii.t <br />granted. . <br />10. Bruce E. Rice, 23840 Gessner Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 6.5 foot total side yard variance to <br />construct an addition. Violation o.E Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.07(a). Also request <br />special permit to add to and alter a non conforming dwelling. 5peeial permit <br />required by Ord. 90- 125, Section 1165.02(d)(1). <br />Chairman Gomersall ca.lled all interested parties beiore the board.
