Request for variance (1123.12). Request 1.72 foot variance for width of lot in `B"'Residence <br />District. Property rezoned by Ord. 93-155. Proposal referred by Planning Commission December 14, <br />1994. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.05(a).. <br />Chairmau Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was adiuinistered to Mr. <br />Elliott, representing Hennie Homes. The members had no problem with the request and noted that <br />the Plamniug Commission has recommended approval. J. Maloney moved to grant the request of <br />Heuiue Homes, Inc. Barton Road, Parcel #3, Block "A" West side of Barton Road, last lot before <br />Olmsted Township, Permanent Parcel number: 234-13-27 for a 1.72 foot variance for width of lot in <br />`B' Residence clistrict. Property was rezoned by Ord. 93-155. Proposal was referred by Planving <br />Commission December 14, 1994. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.05(a). The motion was <br />seconded by W. Purper, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />6. Leo Rodecker. 4537 Gladland Avenue. <br />Request for variauce (1123.12). Request 132. square foot variance for area of shed that exceeds the <br />2% maximum area of the rear yard as permitted. Also request variance to have 2nd storage building <br />on property. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(d)(1). <br />Chainnau Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Rodecker who explained that the existing shed was not big enough to hold his riding lawn mower <br />and he also clarified that the drawing shows the two sheds touching on the side, and he plans to leave <br />a 5 foot space between them. He intends to store equipment from his old business which is stored <br />outside at present, inside t]ie shed. J. Maloney moved to grant the request to Leo Rodecker, 4537 <br />Gladlaud Avenue, for a 132 square foot variance for area of shed that exceeds the 2% maximum area <br />of the rear yard as permitted and also to grant the variance to have a second storage building on the <br />property. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02d)1. The motion was seconded by W. Purper. <br />Roll call on motion. Maloney, Purper, Gomersall, and Koberna, yes. Ms. Boyle, no. Motion carried. <br />Variauces granted. <br />7. Cen-Cor Services 23867 Larain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to have two permanent window signs and also <br />request an 11 square foot variance for excess business unit signage. Violation of Ord. 90-125, <br />Section 1163.12 and 1161(c). <br />Chauman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Jameson, sign contractor. Mr. Gomersall would have liked the owner to be present since this is an <br />different type of request. Law Director Gareau stated that they did have a problem since no one <br />knew what Cen -Cor did and the ground sign was ineffective. The window signs explains that this is <br />a temporary employment agency. Many businesses have temporary window signs advertising sales. <br />Building Commissioner Conway agreed that most window signs were temporary, but some were <br />penuanent, but it was almost impossible to check all window signs in the city. Mr. Gomersall did not <br />want to set a precederit. Mr. Maloney agreed that. they did need the identification. R. Gomersall <br />moved to grant the variance for Cen-Cor Service, 23867 Lorain Road, to have two permanent <br />window signs and an 11 square foot variance for excess business u.nit signage. Violation of Ord. 90- <br />125, Section 1163.12 and 163.12(c). The motiou was seconded by Ms. Boyle, and unanimously <br />approved. Variances granted. Ed Mausell, 25118 Deerfield Drive Request for variauce (1123.12). Request 8 foot rear yard variance to construct an addition. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08(2). <br />3
