Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(d)(1). <br />Chauman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered <br />to Douglas Bloomfield, and neighbor, Mr. Lesniak, who lives in the rear. Mr. Gomersall noted <br />that the address on the agenda should have read 4499, not 499. Mr. Bloomfield advised that <br />the existing shed would be removed. It was explained to Mr. Lesniak that the shed would be at <br />least 100 feet from his property line and would not interfere with the drainage ditch. W. <br />Gomersall noted that this is an extremely deep lot. W. Purper moved to graut the request of <br />Douglas C. Bloomfield, 4499 Dover Center Rd., for an 88 square foot variance for area of shed <br />which exceeds the maximum 2% coverage of rear yard area. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section <br />1135.02(d)(1). The motion was seconded by T. Koberna, and unavimously approved. Variance <br />granted. <br />12. Data Design, 4235 Coe Avenue. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to hire an add.itional employee in a business <br />conducted as a home occupation in a dwelling in a residential district. Violation of Ord. 90-125, <br />Section 1135.02(b). <br />Chairma.n Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. T7ie oath was administered to <br />Ms. Hovatter, owner of Data Desigu. No neighbors were preseut and Ms. Hovatter advised that <br />she had spoken to all her neighbors on Coe. The members had no problem with the request. J. <br />Maloney moved to grant the request of Data Design, 4235 Coe Avenue, for a variance to hire <br />an additional employee in a business conducted as a home occupation in a dwelling in a <br />residential district with the stipulation that this is only to be one individual. Violation of Ord. 90- <br />125, Section 1135.02(b). The motion was seconded by Ms. Boyle, and unaniinously approved. <br />Variauce granted. <br />13. J. C. Penny, 6150 Great Northern Mall (formerly an auto seivice facilitX <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance for two additional wall signs (one allowed); <br />request 34 square foot variance for sign area allowed for a business building for each of the three <br />wall signs; request 2 foot, 5 inch variance for height of letters on each of the three wall signs; <br />request 154 square foot variance for sign area for a business use; and request 199 square foot <br />variance for excess total sign area allowed for a business building. Violation of Ord. 90-125, <br />Sections 1163.12(a), 1163.11(a) and 1163.11(b). <br />Chaiimau Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. Mr. Wilks responded that the <br />signs are manufactured nationally, and the J.C. & P. are 36 inches high and the rest of the letters <br />are 2.5 foot. Mr. Conway clarified that they figured the overall height because the word <br />"fiuniture" is under the "J. C. Penny". However, he fiuther advised that the sign on the north <br />elevation does not actually need to be addressed since it is not visible from a public right of way <br />(it is only visible from the IVIall property). This would reduce the excess total sign area by 109 <br />square feet so they would need a variance for 90 square feet variance for excess total sign area <br />6
