The oath was administered to Mr.
Costello, ovvuer, who clarified that he wanted one sign on Lorain Road and one on Clague Road, not
Columbia, as stated in his application. He would like the signs which are not illuiniuated, from September
25th to the 31st for an anuual sale. Mr. Maloney stated that there was no September 31st. The members
had no problem with the request. Building Commissioner Conway asked that he call the Building
Departmeut so they could determine that these signs will not block visibility. J. Maloney moved to grant
the request to Hobby's Etc. at 23345 Loraiu Road a variance to have two prohibited temporary signs, not
lit, from September 25 to the 30th and with the stipulation that they give a location notice to the Building
Department prior to placement. T1ie members could not tell from the drawing how far away from
the sidewallc it would be. Mr. Maloney advised that it should be at least 3 feet from the sidewallc. The
drawing wluch was confusing had been submitted by the fence company along with the iucorrect name.
Siuce the fence is chain link and is only 4 feet tall, the member agreed that there is no problem with it, but
it must be 3 feet from the sidewallc.
