11. David & Debra Scluembeck, 6684 Barton Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 616 square foot variance for garage area to construct <br />detached garage. Also request a variauce to have a gravel drive for a one year period. Violation of Ord. <br />90-125, Sections 1135.02(c)(3) and 1161.11(a). <br />Chairman Goinersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was adininistered to Mr. <br />Schrembeck who explained that the drawings have been revised and the garage would now have one <br />overhead door and a man door and would now be 20 feet wide by 30 feet deep. It will be used to store <br />lus work velucle and tools. He advised Mr. Conway that he would be doing no work from the premises, it <br />will only be used for storage. Nlr. Conway clarified that it was originally going to be 28 feet wide, 32 feet <br />deep and 15 feet high. Mr. Schreinbeck further explained that the garage, will be relocated so it will be <br />the same distance from the lot line as the detached garage. He will pave the gravel drive in a year. Mr. <br />Maloney figured that he would now need a 320 square foot variance. J. Maloney moved to grant the <br />agreed modified request of David and Debra Schrembeck, 6684 Barton Road, for a 320 square foot <br />variance to coustiuct detached garage on property with existing attached garage. Also to grant a garage <br />to have a gravel drive for a one year period and that the years limitation would start with the issuance of <br />the pennit. The motion was seconded by T. Koberna, and unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />12. Tony Greco/Elmhurst Barber Shop, 29458 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variauce to have individual store signage on existing free <br />standiug sigu (attacluneut to pole) and request 4 square foot variance for sign area to add this attaclunent. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(H) and 1163.22(A). Alternate request: request variance to <br />have individual store siguage on existing free standiug sigu (attachment to pole) and request 6 square <br />foot variance for sigu area to add tlus attaclvnent. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(H) aud <br />1163.22(A). <br />Chairmau Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to N1r. <br />Greco who preseuted a sample of what he wanted to put around the pole of the sign to simulate a <br />barber's pole. The memUers had no problem with the request. Mr. Gomersall clarified that they were only <br />approving the first request. Mr. Crreco would like au approval for either request nuinber one or request <br />number two. The inembers believed that it should be oue method or the other, so Mr. Greco agreed to <br />the first alternate. He was advised that the pole sign would have to be removed by January of 1998. T. <br />Koberna moved to grant the request of Tony Greco/Elmhurst Barber Shop, 29458 Lorain Road, for a <br />variauce to have individual store siguage ou existiug free standiug sign (attachment to pole) and request 4 <br />square foot variance for sign, area to add tlus attaclunent. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12(H) <br />and 1163.22(A). The motiov was seconded by R. Gomersall and unanunously approved. Variance <br />granted. I <br />13. B. P. Procare, 4710 Crreat Northem Blvd. <br />Request for variauce (1123.12). Request variance to replace existing pole sign with a free standing <br />grouud sigu for individual tenant iu multi-unit complex; request variauce to have second free standing <br />sigu on property; request 10.5 square foot variance for excess business unit signage; request 2 foot height <br />variance for proposed grouud sigu; and request location variance for ground sign which is to be placed in <br />restricted triangle foimed by the intersectiou of driveway aud front property line. Violation of Ord. 90- <br />125, Sections 1163.12(h); 1163.12(b); 1163.11(c); and 1163.12(b). <br />6
