, J"
Mr. Doty agreed to take a photograph of the Eiustein sigu, so that the owner cau compare the two
and come up with a new design if they so desire. The members agreed that Mr. Yager will review
any modifications independently. Nlr. Liggett believed Sweet Beans is a separate entity, but noted
the sign on the side of the building takes on a different appearance than the ground mounted sign.
The other board inembers did not have a problem with the two styles, if the businesses are two
separate entities. Mr. Yager elaborated, if Sweet Beans is not a separate entity, the sign should be
removed.
M. Yager motioned to approve the drawings as submitted with the following comments: that a
revised landscapiug plan be submitted wluch deals with the I,orain Road; that the revised canopy
dimension signage relationslup be faxed to Mr. Rymarczyk and forwarded to the arclutectural review
board members for approval; "Sweet Beans too" should be eliminated uutil coufu-muatiou that their
actually two businesses in thetnselves; and a photograph of the logo should also be forwarded. Black plastic letters will be applied for the building sign. The pylon sign will be located in the
front of the building inside a landscaped area. Mr. Zergott questioned if the proposal is here for
signage, or if the board can comment on other tlungs. Assistant Building Commissioner Rymarczyk
clarified the proposal is for siguage only, as this has already been through the board for the building
proposal. Mr. Zergott noted, the signage was not presented previously, and he prefers to see it tie
into a more dynamic landscape plan along Lorain Road. Mr. Yager believed the landscaping should
be incorporated into the motion. The members agreed the sign package was acceptable as presented.
Mr. Yager found the words "O. S. V. Media Center" and "O. S. V. I'roductions" on the ground sign
acceptable because the proportions are good and the added verbiage describes legitimate things. Mr.
Zergott wondered if there would be a future use for the blacked out area along the bottom of this
pylon sign. Mr. Fitzpatrick responded, the blacked out area is actually a skirt and there are no plans
to include a future sign in that location. . Mr. Liggett wondered if there are separate entities within
the building. Mr. Fitzpatrick responded O.S.V. Productions and Performance Sycle Works are
separate companies, whereas O.S.V. Media Center is the name of the complex. Mr. Ryinarczyk
noted a variance will be required for the ground sign.
Mr. Liggett motioned to approve the sign package as presented with the recommendation that the
landscaping be verified arou.nd the sign to assure a complete landscape package. Mr. Yager clarified
the landscape plan should be submitted, for Mr. Zergott's review, prior to approval. The motion was
seconded by B. Zergott and unauiinously approved.
4) Kiddie Kollege, 26700 Brookpark Road
Request approval of logo on sign.
3
