The motion was seconded by J. Maloney and unanimously approved. Variance <br />granted. <br />12. Robert Webb. 5723 McKenzie Rd. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). <br />Request a 700 square foot variance for area of detached accessory dwelling which will <br />exceed the 200 square foot maximum permitted. Also request a 6 foot variance for height of <br />detached accessory dwelling. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02 (d-1 & D-3). <br />Chaiixnan Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was admiuistered <br />to Mr. Webb. The members believed this was a sizable proposal and questioned the use. Mr. <br />Webb explained he would like to store his 28 foot boat in this shed during the winter months. <br />It was clarified the shed will be 18 feet in height, and 12 feet is permitted which is the reason <br />the 6 foot height variance is required. Mr. Gomersall advised there is 265 feet between the <br />structure and the rear property line. Mr. Webb clarified this accessory dwelling will be <br />located 65 feet froin the rear of his house and 15 feet from the southem property line. Mr. <br />Webb had several letters from neighboring residents stating they did not have any problem <br />with this proposal. Mr. Gomersall had concerns about what this might be used for if the <br />property is ever sold as there are two d'oors from either side and the structure is immense. <br />Mr. Webb stated the two doors were needed so that he can easily exit after hauling the boat in <br />the structure. The members did not have a problem with this proposal because of the lot size. <br />J. Koberna and <br />unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />13. Silverdale Plaza 26324 Lorain Road <br />There were 20 requested variances for this property. The board of zoning appeals, January <br />31, 1996 granted 12 variances. In the construction of the building, errors were made resulting <br />in a request for a 1 foot (additional) variance to maintain the required 18' drive. <br />Note: Required side yard is 10' and a variance has already been granted for 3' on the west <br />side of the building. <br />Chairman C7omersall called all interested parties before the boapd.
