<br />? <br />Vice-Chairman Maloney called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. <br />Schmidt, owner, and C. I?'ixon, sign contractor. The changeable copy is needed to announce various <br />events which will be changing constantly. They could adjust the skirt of the sign to make it lower if <br />necessary. It was noted that the Recreation Complex had a changeable copy sign. The members had no <br />problem with tlie request. <br />W. Puxper moved to grant Soccer Sportsplex; 31515 Lorain Road, their request for variances to have <br />changeable copy on ground sign and also a 1 foot, 6 inch height variance for grou.nd sign with the <br />notation that this sign be exempted from Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.26 concerning the amortizing of <br />non-conforming signs. The motion was seconded by T. Kobema, and unanimously approved. Variances <br />granted. <br />8. The oath was ad.ministered to Mr. <br />Diack and Mr. Buswell, contractor, who explained that the existing patio had to be moved out 4 feet to <br />build an enclosed patio, so it would not conform to code. He was advised that the garage wall that was <br />within a 15 foot radius would have to be fire rated for one hour even though this is an aluminum <br />structure. The members had no questions on the proposal. <br />J. Maloney moved to approve the request of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Diack, 23792 Lucille Drive for a 6 foot <br />variance for distance between existing garage and proposed sun room addition. Violation of Ord. 90- <br />125, Section 1135.02 (o-2) with the condition that it must comply with the Building Department's <br />requirements for fire wall protection.: The motion was seconded by W. Purper, and unanimously <br />approved. Variance granted. <br />9. C. & L. O'Brien. 23505 Sharon Drive <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request a variance to have a 6 foot fence that will encroach by 4 foot <br />into the side setback adjacent to the front setback of the adjacent dwelling. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02(f-2). <br />Vice-Chairman Maloney called all interested parties before the board. She advised Mr. Maloney that the fence would be 4 feet off the house, and 6 <br />feet from the sidewalk. Mr. Maloney agreed that she needs some privacy. The members had no <br />problem with tlie amended request. <br />J. Maloney moved to grant the request to C. & L. O'Brien, 23505 Sharon Drive for a 5 foot fence <br />scallopeii down to 4 feet, that will encroach by 4 feet into the side setback adjacent to the front setback <br />of the adjacent dwelling and will be 6 feet off the sidewalk. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section <br />1135.02(f-2). The motion was seconded by W. Putper, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />10.
