Bender), 28900 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct office complex.
(Heard by the Planning Commission March 11, 1986).
Mr. Giesser, attorney, explained the plans for three office buildings: The
middle building will be sided with cream colored aluminum siding; the two
end building will be red brick with cream colored trim; roof shingles are a
mixed rust colored shingle; colonial type lights will be installed on
building. Mr. Giesser clarified that all electrical service wiring will
be underground (plans seemed to indicate overhead wires). No mechanical
equipment is planned on roof. Mr. Pattison questioned the two hour
fire rating that was discussed at Planning Commission, this type of
construction would not give that rating, and Mr. Pattison does not see
that it is needed. He suggested that parking in the rear lot be re-
arranged to include a circular drive with parking along the side property
line. He also suggested that the entrance drive be reduced to 22' and
that the additional 2' be put into landscaping. S. Ebin moved to approve
the plans as submitted with the recommendation that rear parking be
studied along the lines that Mr. Pattison recommended and with the
recommendation that the drive be reduced to 22', that the additional
2' be added to the east side making that a 7' landscaping strip, second-
ed by D. Pattison, and unanimously approved.
5) Olmsted Manor Nursing Home (G. Roof mounted mechanical equipment will be screened by a parapet,
and if it is visible they will install metal screen, if so required.
Mr. Pattison would like to see a sight line drawing showing mechanicals
after they are decided upon. Driveway will be removed from west side
of property and will be landscaped with grass, some trees may be added.
Co1or of canvas awning has nor been decided as yet.
