Gomersall moved to grant the request for Mr. Kogleman for a <br />10' variance for distance between deck and garage at 27053 Butternut Ridge <br />Road, seconded by E. Graves, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />8. J. H. & M. C. Childs, 5988 Columbia Rd. <br />Requesf permission to erect 5' fence. (Variance denied for a 6' fence on <br />June 4, 1986). <br />Chairman Remmel- called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Childs and Councilman McKay who stated that Mr. Childs <br />was a victim of circumstances since the construction of SR 252 had taken away <br />the privacy of his yard and he would like the fence for that nurpose. Mr. <br />Childs stated that he would like a solid fence (or a staggered.fence) to stop <br />the salt-spray thrown by the snow plows from damaging his newly planted trees. <br />Building Commissioner Spino-had indicated on his site.plan-how the property <br />had been prior to the road being constructed. Board.still must consider this <br />a front-set back area-and this would be a solid wall in the front yard. _Mr. <br />Childs submitted a letter from the City Engineer advising that the State would <br />not be putting in nui.s-e barriers. It had been suggested to Mr. Childs that he <br />put up a snow fence each winter and cover it with burlap. He would not like <br />the way that would look. C, Remmel moved to grant this 5' solid fence on <br />the front of the property only, the front being th-e portion which is adjacent <br />to the relocated road, seconded by E. Graves. Roll call on motion: Remmel, <br />Graves, BugaTa, Gomersall, and Helon, No. Motion failed to pass. Variance <br />denied. (Case -reopened at end of ineeting) <br />9. Gordon Walker, 4054 Columbia Rd. <br />Request for variance-{1133.13).= Request 66 sq. ft. variance-for garage-area. <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151,04-L, <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Walker who advised that he needed more storage area and <br />that he repairs his own cars and some for friends. This lot is quite large. <br />It was pointed out that if he gets this'variance he would not be permitted to <br />construct a shed without another variance. E. Graves moved to grant Gordon <br />Walker, 4054 Columbia Road, his request for a variance for 66 square foot for <br />a garage and stipulate that the door is no higher than 8' and no second floor <br />will be permitted and it cannot be used for a public repair garage, seconded <br />by R-. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />10. Sparky DiBenedetto, property located on the north side of Brookpark Ext.-- <br />between Dover Center and the Gold Circle/Bryant.Stratton parking lot. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for depth of sublots 2A ancl <br />3A (less than 135' deep).. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1157.02-C. Sublot <br />lA.:.. (4789 Dover Center Rd) has existing house and frontage is.less than re- <br />quired in an "A" residential district for a corner lot. AZso, developer is <br />requesting a rear yard variance for sublots 2A and 3A. (No actual depth of <br />rear yard was specified). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163:01.
