BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS JUNE 12, 1985 PAGE 2 <br />4. Shore West Construction Co., S/L 65, 30872 Windy Hollow <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 9` rear yard variance for new house. <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to C. Bower of Shore West and Mr. Rogers an adjacent <br />neighbor. Proposal was explained to Mr. Rogers. Lot is wider than most <br />and backs up to the soccer field. Mr. Rogers has no problems with pro- <br />posal. Mr: -Remmel po.inted out that the neighbor on the other side was <br />not notified and case must-be continued.- - Mr. Bower is anxious to-get ap- <br />proval for the potential buyers.- He will try to bring-the other neighbor <br />back to the meeting.- Case continued to later. <br />5. I. M. Zaccardelli, 4419 Clague Rd. <br />Request special permit-to add to second story of non-conforming dwelling <br />(front set back over 70')o Special permission required Ord. 62-33, <br />Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Zaccardelli. Chairman Remmel stated that the job <br />was practically completed. Boara has no problem with proposal but is <br />concerned that work might not.be done according_to the code. _Mr._ Zaccardelli <br />has invalid daughter.and-work must-be completed-quickly; he thought he could <br />proceed after applying for permit. He will make any changes that have to <br />be made. R. Bugala moved to grant the special permit for the non-conforming <br />dwelling based upon the inspection of the current structure as it stands <br />and that the plans have, in fact, have been approved, seconded by J. Helon, <br />and unanimously approved. Special permit__granted: <br />6. A. J. Tatarczuk, Jr., 5589 Dorothy Dr. <br />Request for variance-(1133.-13). Request 16' rear yard_variance_for pa.tio <br />enclosure. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.01. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Soard. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Tatarczuk. Board feels that this structure is too <br />deep and should be reduced. Structure is also quite high. Mr. Tatarczuk <br />would agree to a 14' variance. C. Remmel moved to grant a 12` variance <br />for a patio enclosure, limiting the size of the enclosure to a depth of <br />12', seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />7.. Tom Steummer, 31121 Lorain Rd. <br />Request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front and rear <br />set backs). Special permission require Ord. 62-33, Section 1159.01 and <br />1163. 01. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Stemmer. House is on rear af property. Rear property <br />is vacant and owned by the Illuminating.Company. Mr. Stemmer is going to <br />construct the addition and reside the entire structure. He plans to put <br />about-$20,000 into the renovation. Property is now rented and at,a later <br />date he will develop commercially (property is located in General Retail <br />Business District). Board questions the wisdom of renovating this struc- <br />ture and questions if it should be_condemned and doubts it could be brought <br />up to code. C. Remmel moved-to grant the special permit,.seconded_by R.
