' <br />Mr. R. Margolius presented plans to construct four buildings on site <br />where homes are presently located. Assistant Law Director Dubelko <br />advised that property was rezoned by Council and was subsequently sub- <br />mitted by the developer to the Court of Common Pleas,which ruled_ that <br />rezoning proposal would not have to be submitted to-the electorate. <br />Proposal consists of 36 units (three two story building and one, one <br />and a half story building). Building will match the existing ones. <br />Four parcels will have to be assembled. Miss Slys, a neighbor, viewed <br />the plans and had no objection to proposal. Mr. Morgan is concerned <br />with the increased traffic in this a"rea. He requested that the devel- <br />oper use the existing drive shown on the plans for these units. Mr. <br />Margolius explained that this driveway is the property of the adjacent <br />condominiums and does not belong to the apartments. E. Traczyk moved <br />to forward.the Jamestown Village Apartment plans:zo the Architecturai,..- <br />Board of Review for their input and to the Safety Department also <br />for their input, seconded -by T. Morgan; and unaniaously approved: -7) Adon Equipment Co., 23904 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal_to construct buil-ding (existing building.to be demolished). <br />Plans were.presented by Mr. Schmidt, the owner, and Mr. H. Howe, the <br />Architect, for the 8,000 sq. ft. building. The existing building and <br />a concrete block storage building will be demolished at this time, and <br />in the future another building on the property will be torn down for a <br />proposed second building. The entire front of the prop.erty is now an <br />apron area; two' small land3ic4ped areas are planned to define a driveway <br />on this portion._of the property. It was suggested that when the second <br />building is planned more landscpaing be included. A letter was read by <br />Mr. Burns from the owners of the Chrystal Pocket, the adjacent business, <br />stating that they are in favor of the proposal,. J. Brown moved to for- <br />ward the proposal to construct a building by the Adon Equipment Co at <br />23904 Lorain Road to the Architectural Board of Review for their recom- <br />mendations, and to the Safety and Engineering Departments for their <br />review, seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />8) Marathon Petroleum Co., Lorain and Butternut Ridge Rd. <br />Proposal to construct canopy and make exterior alterations to existing <br />building. (Variance for canopy granted September 4, 1985). <br />Mr. Beardsley of Marathon Petroleum explained that two existing dispens- <br />irig islands would be removed and all islands wi11 be located under <br />proposed canopy. Exterior of building will be renovated. Building - <br />Commissioner Gundy expalined how he had figured variances for canopy <br />which were granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals. Exi"sting Landscap- <br />ing will remain. T. Morgan moved that proposal to construct a canopy <br />and make exterior alterations to existing building for Marathon Petroleum <br />Company be referred-to the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by <br />J. Brown, and unanimously approved.
