Mr. Carlisle said that if there <br />are any problems with the parking they would rectify it and this area <br />can be used as a test and they would be willing to submit an informal <br />review of their findings. Mr. Dubelko clarified that this variance <br />would not apply to the second phase of this proposal. J. Wixted moved <br />to approve the Biskind Development proposal for parcel "C", the building <br />of an office building and a hotel as presented, with the understanding <br />that the Building Department, as well as the developer,will undertake <br />separate analysis of the detailed parking plans within one year of the <br />completion of the building, to be presented before this Commission and <br />at such time we can review the-so called test to get some feel as to <br />whether or not the test would work as originally proposed, seconded by <br />E. Traczyk, and unanimously approved. <br />3) St. Brendans Church, Kenney Lane and Brendan Lane <br />Proposal to construct church <br />(Special permit granted by Board of Zoning Appeals June 12, 1985). <br />Mr. Del Guidice, Architect, and Mre Fanta presented plans for church. <br />Special permit was granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals on June 24, <br />1985 to locate a church in a residential area. Building will be a <br />brick one story structure with low profile lighting. Taenty-four new <br />parking spaces will be added; parking conforms;-:to code. Church <br />services 1,600 families and since parish area is fully developed they <br />do not expect a large increase in the membership. T. Morgan moved to <br />serd the proposal to construct the St. Brendans Church to the Archi- <br />tectural Board of Reveiw, also to the Safety Department for their input <br />as to traffic and fire protection and any additional comments that they <br />might make, and also to the Engineering Department for review of re- <br />tention and any other things that are required, seconded by E. Traczyk, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />4) Christ The King Community, located on the west side of Barton Road be- <br />tween I-480 and the North Olmsted south corporate line. <br />Detailed development plans for residential units for first phase,,of <br />community. (Concept plans approved previously). <br />Mr. Young, representing Christ The King explained that the f irst phase <br />containing 48 units will be built and sold to persons who are 60 years <br />or older, land will be held by the community, (similar to condominium <br />ownership). Units being presented will have two bedrooms, however <br />they will return with a revised plan which will include some 3 bedroom <br />units, but are requesting approval of this plan in order to build the <br />2 bedroom models. Four group homes for the mentally retarded will be <br />constructed in this phase, two at first and the other two at a later <br />date. Interim care facilities and skilled nursing care homes will be <br />constructed in future phases. Mrs. Hanobik, an adjacent neighbor, has <br />concerns regard the traffic and, more importantly, the lack of water <br />pressure in the area. City Engineer Schaller advised that the Bradley <br />Road water main is being cleaned and also a new water main installation.
