PLANNING COMMISSION JULY 24, 1984 PAGE 2
also recommend that all new construction of gasoline storage have in-
spection ports." Mr. Fillingim received a copy of report and expressed.
no objection to the recommendations. J. Burns moved to approve the
demolition and rebuilding of the Sohio Station at 23425 Lorain Road as
approved by the Architectural Board of Review and incorporating the
suggestion of the developer that one pole sign at the corner replace
the two existing pole.signs, and also incorporating the recommendations
of Captain Gettens, Fire Inspector, in his report of July 20th, seconded
by J. Wixted, and unanimously approved. Landscape plan will be sub-
mitted only to the Architectural Board and will not need to be reviewed
by the Planning Commission.
3) North Olmsted Veterinary Hospital, 23537 Loiain Road.
Exterior alteration to existing building.
The Architectural Board had made no suggestions. Commission agreed
that this is a vast improvement. Structural detail of mansard will be
worked out in the building plans. J. Wixted moved to approve the ex-
terior alteration to the North Olmsted Veterinary Hospital at 23537
Lorain Road as well as the new signs, seconded by J. Brown, and uani-
mously approved.
4) Kacirek Funeral Home, 29060 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct addition.
Commission questioned why assembly plat of two parcels had not been sub-
mi:tted. Mr,: K. Illes stated that they will be presenting it later. Mr.
Illes requested that the Commission also approve an addition which is
included on this plan and marked as a future 450 sq. ft. addition and
is to be used as a casket display area. Commission has no problern with
this addition. Chairman Morgan stated that the Assembly Plat will have.
to be submitted to the Commission prior to any building permits being
issued. The Architectural Board of Review had approved the plans as
submitted. J. Brown moved to approve the Kacirek Funeral Home pro-
posal to construct addition to their funeral home at 29060 Lorain Road
including the 15' by 30' addition to the north of the building as shown
on these plans, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved.
5) Dunkin Donuts, 26963 Lorain Rd.
Exterior renovation to existing doughnut shop.
The Architectural Board of Review had approved plans as submitted. Mr.
Knight requested that the Commission also approve two additional 20'
high light poles (one on Whitethorn side and one on the Lorain Road
side). Light on Whitethorn Ave. frontage will be shielded so as not
to shine onto adjacent residences. Building Commissioner Gundy has no
problem with lights as.long as they do not shine onto adjacent neigh-
bors. Site is well lighted from existing street lighting. This can
be worked out with the Building Department. B. Gorris moved to accept
IJunkin Donuts renovation to the existing shop at 26963 Lorain Rd. as
approved by the Architectural Board of Review with the understanding
that any electricity to the pole sign will be underground and also
that the two suggested lights to illuminate the.lot be worked out with
the Building Commissioner, seconded by J. Wixted, and unanimously ap-
proved.
