Graves moved to grant the side yard variance and the variance for <br />the distance between the house and garage for one year at which time <br />he will tear down the existing garage, seconded by R. Bugala, and <br />unanimously approved. Variance and special permit granted. <br />2. Society National Bank (Brilliant Electric Signs), 4800 Great Northern Blvd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 30 sq. ft. variance for pole <br />sign. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1221.06. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered to R. Galina, Brilliant Electric Signs, and <br />G. Richland representing Great Northern Partnership. Mr. Galina pre- <br />sented a site_plan of new location of sign (north of existing sign) <br />with a new logo; they are removing one directional sign and need <br />v the additional square footage so sign can be seen from Rt. 17 since <br />they have f.rontage on both Great Northern Blvd. and Brookpark Rd. (Rt 17) <br />Mr. Richland objected on basis that others would want larger signs; <br />he was not opposed to design of sign. Board believes that 50 sq. ft. <br />of signage should be sufficient.. R. Bugala moved to grant the vari- <br />ance, seconded by E. Graves. Roll call on motion: Bugala, Graves, <br />Horvath, and Remmel, Nay. Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. <br />3. Anthony Long, 5541 Fitch Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for location of de- <br />tached building (8' x 10" shed and 11' x 8' covered patio). Violation <br />of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered to Mr. Long and neighbor Mr. Martin. Structure <br />was built without-a permit. Mr. Martin stated that new patio/shed <br />coAination was an improvement over old shed. Lot is 552' deep. C. <br />Remnel moved to grant the variance, seconded by E. Graves, and unani- <br />mously approved. Variance granted. <br />4. Mrs. Gerald Brookins, 5807 Columbia Road <br />Request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (more than 70' <br />front set back). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board.
