A letter was introduced from E. & J. Dean requesting that the variance be granted since the Pasguinis are improving their property. Mr. Mayar had no objection. E. Graves moved to grant the side yard variance and the variance for the distance between the house and garage for one year at which time he will tear down the existing garage, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. Variance and special permit granted. 2. Society National Bank (Brilliant Electric Signs), 4800 Great Northern Blvd. Request for variance (1133.13). Request 30 sq. ft. variance for pole sign. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1221.06. Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to R. Galina, Brilliant Electric Signs, and G. Richland representing Great Northern Partnership. Mr. Galina pre- sented a site_plan of new location of sign (north of existing sign) with a new logo; they are removing one directional sign and need v the additional square footage so sign can be seen from Rt. 17 since they have f.rontage on both Great Northern Blvd. and Brookpark Rd. (Rt 17) Mr. Richland objected on basis that others would want larger signs; he was not opposed to design of sign. Board believes that 50 sq. ft. of signage should be sufficient.. R. Bugala moved to grant the vari- ance, seconded by E. Graves. Roll call on motion: Bugala, Graves, Horvath, and Remmel, Nay. Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. 3. Anthony Long, 5541 Fitch Rd. Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for location of de- tached building (8' x 10" shed and 11' x 8' covered patio). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04. Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to Mr. Long and neighbor Mr. Martin. Structure was built without-a permit. Mr. Martin stated that new patio/shed coAination was an improvement over old shed. Lot is 552' deep. C. Remnel moved to grant the variance, seconded by E. Graves, and unani- mously approved. Variance granted. 4. Mrs. Gerald Brookins, 5807 Columbia Road Request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (more than 70' front set back). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to Mrs. Brookins and Mr. Siserick, contractor. L. Horvath moved to grant the special permit, seconded by L. Horvath, and unanimously approved. Special permit grantede 5: Mrs. C. M. Schneider, 23733 Curtis Drive Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for solid fence on corner lot (not 3' from sidewalk). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04H-2. Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board.
