Special permission required <br />Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered to Mr. & Mrs. Holly and Mr. Merlini. It'was <br />explained that the property is landlocked and would have an easement <br />through Mr. Merlini's propertye Property is 1.73 acres and house is <br />shown 10' off property line. A request could be made to subdivide <br />lot and build another house on balance of property. It was suggested <br />that house could be changed to middle of property to preclude such a <br />request. Law Director Gareau gtated thatbefore building permit is <br />granted Mr. Merlini must present a duly recorded easement to the <br />Building Department. E. Graves moved to grant the variance subject <br />to centering the home on the property and subject to submission of <br />an approved docunent granting the easement to Christine Merline <br />Holly, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />7. Mark A. S.parks, 27018 Kennedy Ridge Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for solid fence <br />(not 90% :open) in corner set back area. Violation of Ord. 62-33, <br />? Section 1151.04H2. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered to Mr. Sparks, and a neighbor. Fence will be <br />5' off property line. Neighbor has no opposition to solid fence. <br />The Board believes that this will obstruct view. R. Bugala moved <br />to grant variance for solid fence, seconded by C. Remmel. Roll call <br />on motion: R. Bugala, C. Remmel, E. Graves, and L. Horvath, Nay. <br />Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. <br />8. Paradise Pontiac (Wagner Signs), 25870 Lorain Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for pole sign (more <br />than 1 pole.sign on property). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1221.06B4. Also request variance for 138 sq. ft. over allowable sign <br />area. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1221.06. And request variance <br />for.height of pole. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1221.06D. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered.to Mr. Paradise and Mr. Harris from Wagner Signs. <br />Mr. Gundy advised that all allowable signage had been used. Mre <br />Paradise stated that he needed more signage for his Honda dealership. <br />Board pointed out that there was much criticism of over abundance of <br />signage on Lorain Rd. There is a Honda sign on the property at pre- <br />? sent. Mr. Paradise pointed out that the Honda business is a separate <br />business and should be allowed a separate pole sign. He also stated <br />that his property afforded taxes to the City and that.should be taken <br />into consideration. E. Graves moved to grant the variance, seconded <br />by C. Remmel. Roll call on motion: E. Graves, C. Remmel, R. Bugala, <br />and L. Horvath, Nay. Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. <br />Mr. Paradise requested a copy of the minutes.
