A power pole and the sign will have to be <br />; relocated. One existing door will be made emergency exit only <br />and sidewalk will be relocated. Lot is approximately 250' deep, <br />f' however rear portion has been left for buffer area. Commission <br />is concerned about traffic problems created by the proposed <br />drive through. B. Gorris moved to refer the Taco Bell proposal <br />to construct a drive-thru window to the Architectural Board of <br />Review and request that the Building Department review parking <br />. requirements under this proposal, and request that the Safety <br />Department look at it for any comments that they might have, <br />seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />(6) Cleveland Tux Shop, 26261 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to alter existing restaurant (Capt'. Taco) for tux shop. <br />Mr. J. Raynes, Architect, and B. Goldner, owner, explained that <br />there would be no structural changes, all four sides of the <br />building will be redone; glass and brick area will remain as is. <br />J. Burns moved to refer the Cleveland Tux Shop proposal to the <br />Archi,tectural Board of Review, seconded by J. Brown, and uanai- <br />mously approved. <br />(7) Edward J. Flanagan, 27712 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct addition to existing buildings. (Assembly <br />' of property.approved by Planning Commission-on-September 13, 1983 <br />and variance for building granted on October 5, 1983). <br />Mr. Mongello, Architect, and Dr. Flanagan explained that a 20' <br />variance fox the front set back fo7r the addition had been granted <br />by the Board of Zoning Appeals. Addition will connect two ex- <br />isting buildings; front portion of the present antique store will <br />be used as an orthepedic supply store and the remainder will be <br />medical offices and a physiotherapy laboratory. Landscaping <br />will be added. Existing apartments above corner building will <br />, remain. Eleven parking spaces are planned in the rear of the <br />buildings. Commission questioned if parking would be sufficient. <br />Assistant City Engineer McDermott stated that property is almost <br />fu11y developed at present and that probably no additional re- <br />tention wi11 be required. Building sign will be presented to the <br />Architectural Board. B. Gorris-moved to refer_the Dr._Flanagan <br />structural proposal to the Architectural Board of Review.-and , <br />request that the Building Department review the parking as proposed <br />in light of existing parking requirements, seconded by J.-Roberts, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />(8) Mongello and Associates Office Building, located north of_the <br />northeast corner of the Lorain/Clague intersection on Clague Rd. <br />(See Item 1 of NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS). <br />Model of proposed office building. <br />Subdivision proposal listed under Section IV will be heard with
