<br />O • <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS NOVEMBER lOs 1982 PAGE 4 <br />Chairman Remmel called all.interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. & Mrs. Gardin, Mr. R. Schaeffer, Mr. & Mrs. Bender. <br />It was noted that Mr. Rothgary who ownes the lot, had given permission for <br />the Gardins to park on the lot in return for their maintaining it. Mr. <br />Remmel stated that the maintenance of the lot was not a consideration of <br />this Board. Mrs. Gardin stated that this lot had previously been used by <br />Mr. Schaeffer's tennant prior to the agreement with Mr. Rothgary. Mr. & <br />Mrs. Bender were in favor of the variance since the gardins are maintain- <br />ing the lot. Mr. Schaeffer had a letter from his former tenants stating <br />that the car had a faulty muffler and it woke them up every morning. The <br />muffler has been repaired. Mrs. Gardin stated that Mr. Schaeffer's tenant <br />parks his truck there whenever possible. She submitted a picture to the <br />Board. E. Graves moved to grant the variance, seconded by C. Remmel. <br />Roll call•on motion: Graves, Remmel, Bugala, Horvath, and Restifo, Nay. <br />Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. Mr. Remmel requested that the <br />Building Department check and see that no-one is parking on the lot. <br />12. Gastoen,,26516 Lorain Rd, . <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 14 sq. ft. variance for over- <br />j sized pole sign. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1221.06. <br />? <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered. This is a changeable copy addition to the pole sign <br />to show pricing of diesel fuel and store specials. The ordinance requir- <br />ing posting of gas prices stipulates that prices must be placed on pump <br />islands not on the pole sign. It was pointed out that many stations <br />have larger signs. The Board agrees that the 50 sq. ft. maximum is suf- <br />ficient.' R. Bugala moved to accept the Gastown variance, seconded by <br />T. Restifo, Roll call on motion: Bugala, Restifo, Remmel, Graves, and <br />Horvath, Nay. Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. <br />13. Dan Pavella, 4239 Martin Dr. <br />? Request for variance (1133.13). Request 92 sq. ft. variance, 3' ht. var- <br />iance and location variance for tool shed. Violation of Ord. 62-33, <br />Section 1151.04-D. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. Mr. Pavella <br />stated that he has a deep lot and.needs storage for his power eq.uipment. <br />The shed will conform to the style of his house. C. Remmel moved to grant <br />the location variance.(15' sideyard on the.north and 10' rear yard variance), <br />variance will be for this location only, seconded by L. Horvath,. and unani- <br />mously approved. C. Remmel moved to grant the 92 sq. ft. variance and 3' <br />height variance, seconded by T. Restifo. Roll call on motion: Remmel,- <br />Bugala, Graves, and Harvath, Nay. Restifo, Aye. Motion failed to pass. <br />Location variance granted. Square footage and height variance denied. <br />14. A. R. Jensen, 2557 Butternut Ridge Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for location of tool <br />shed. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04D. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered. This is a large lot. E.
