Mr. Bewley explained the application and stated the existing at- <br />tached garage will convert to a mother-in-law suite sometime in the future, <br />and will not be a two-family dwelling. R. Bugala moved to grant the request <br />subject to architectural plans submitted, depicting the conversion architect- <br />urally in agreement with the existing dwelling, seconded by L.. Horvath, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />9. Patrick W. Winners, 25226 Butternut Ridge <br />' Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance to keep existing pigeon coop <br />? less than 200' away from dwellings. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04E. <br />C. Remmel invited all concerned to stand before the Board, and be sworn in. <br />A letter from Councilman Bierman-was read into the record recommending that <br />the variance be not granted. In addition, a letter furnished to the Board, <br />authored by Mr. & Mrs. Stack, Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Tate, and Mr. & Mrs. R. F. Al1en <br />opposing the request, was read and became part of the record. Mr. Winners <br />presented to the Board documentation of his credentials pertaining to his <br />ability and obligations as a member..of a National Pigeon Organization. He <br />mentioned that the pigeons are an expensive hobby. Previous locations in <br />Berea and Cleveland were nuisance free. Neighbors commented that: 1. Coop <br />was bad for the area. 2. Homes for sale and potential purchasers had made <br />adverse statements. 3. They consider this a negative element. Mr. Winners <br />questioned his legal right to remove the coop and occupy his garage instead. <br />Law Director Gareau responded that this would be in violation. C. Remmel <br />moved to grant the request, seconded by R. Bugala. Roll call on the motion, <br />C. Remmel no, R. Bugala no, L. Horvath no. Request denied. <br />10.
