The Board does not believe that this addition matches the building and would prefer that the man- sard be carried across the entire building or have the addition in brick. Mr. Pappato does not think that he can match the existing brick. Mr. Ebin objected to the view of the zoof on the Mill Rd. side. R. Parry moved to approve the 12` x 14' addition to Suburban Auto Body with the conditions that: (1) the mansard roof of the new addition extend for 28` over the face of the existing structure which is at the same plane of the new addition, with brown vertical shingling on the mansard, (2) the shed roof on the north ele- vation be covered with a brown rolled roofing and (3) with the condition that parking spaces 9 through 13 be turned ap- proximately 90 degrees (parallel to Dover Center Rd.) so that they do not require any additional curb cut on Dover. Great Northern Plaza (north side of main drive, east of Putt Putt Miniature Golf. Proposal to construct grocery store. Mr. Richland, Architect for Biskind Development Co., ex- plained that this will be a 39,000 sq. ft. building, eov- ered with white split face block, veneer over block; a man- sard roof effect in Aluminium panel 15 manufactured by Warehouser (statuary bronze). Mr. Parry suggested that the same mansard treatment should be carried through on the west elevation which is most visable. Loading docks and compactor are screened. Mr. Parry would like the Building Department to check if the size of the signs con- form to the sign criteria of the shopping center and to all City Ordinances. Parking lot lighting will conform to what is existing in the Plaza. According to Mr. Richland, roof top mechanicals are to be set back from the edge of the building and should not be visable, however there is no lighting plan or mechanical planat this time. R. Parry moved to approve the Pick 'n Pay proposal with the condition that the mansard roof be extended along the entire west facade also request that at the point where the mechanical drawings and lighting plans are complete that they be re-presented to the Board to show where roof top mechanical equipment will be (height and.location) and where the lighting on the site will be, seconded by S.
