Mr. Gundy advised that there is a Law Director's
Opinion on the access to Multiple Family through Single
Residential #74-16.
(3) National City Bank, located on the Rini Supermarket property
at 23100 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct free standing bank building with auto-
teller bn the southwest corner of the parking lot. (Tabled
at the meeting of June 9, 1981 in order to receive a report
from the Safety and Engineering Departments).
Nelson Hart and Robert Brice explained the plans. Chairman
Gorris read the reports from the Safety Department. The
Police could find no traffic problems. The Fire Department
stated that there appears to be sufficient provisions for
ready access to all areas for Fire Dept. apparatus. The
only potential problem observed exists on the east side of
the new drug store at the southeast corner of the building
concerning the fire hydrant and the indicated parking in
the immediate area. D. McDermott, Assistant City Engineer
explained that an additional 10 feet on the east side of
W. 231st St had been dedicated to the City for right-of-way
and was not indicated on these plans. He also stated that
the City Engineer has suggested that the developer could
supply overlay plans showing the existing buildings, the
present and proposed parking and the proposed bank. He
also advised that the actual parking spaces on the east
property line are shown on the plan as diagonal but at
present they are perpendicular, the fire hydrant is not
protected satisfactorily, and the storm sewer will have to
drain into the retention basin and not into the storm sewers
on W. 231 St. The Coimnission also questioned if the east
drive could accommodate safety vehicles with the diagonal
parking as shown. The Commission decided to retain the pro-
posal in committee until revised plans could be furnished by
the developer showing the existing buildings, parking to
scale with an overlav of the proposed bank building and in-
R?
a
