Perla amended the motion to request that the Safety Depart= <br />ment contact the Southland and Southgate security departments <br />and the city Police Departments'to see if there has been any pro- <br />blems, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />(3) Select Sound, Inc. (Michael Clark), 27100 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to alter former car wash for use as stero equipment <br />store <br />Mr. Michael Clark, owner, presented the plans for the business <br />which will sell and install car steros on a retail and whole- <br />sale basis (the wholesale business will eventually be moved to <br />another location). He plans to rebuild and renovate the existing <br />buildingo The store will employ 5 people and will be open 9:00 a.m. <br />to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 12:00 noon to <br />5:00 p.m. on Sundays. The parking meets code. J. Roberts moved to <br />refer the Select Sound proposal to the Architectural Board of <br />Review, seconded by R. Perla, and unanimously approved. <br />(4) Great Northern Office Complex, to be located east of Great Northern <br />Blvd. and north of Country Club Blvd. <br />Preliminary plans for Great Northern Office Complex in Mixed Use <br />District (Referred to Planning Commission from Council Meeting of <br />July 21, 1981). <br />Building Commissioner Gundy explained that since this is a Mixed <br />Use Di_strict this proposal had to be submitted to Council first <br />under Section 1204.01 of the Zoning Code, and that Council has <br />now referred it to Planning Commission and action must be take in <br />30 days. There are approximately 33 acres, building ground area <br />is 480,000 sq. ft., lot coverage is 29%, total building area is <br />two million sq. ft., open parking for 200 cars, garage parking 4,900 <br />cars (most of the garage area is below grade). This is the pre- <br />li-minary plan for the entire development and the area will be de- <br />veloped in phases. The detailed plans for each building must be <br />resubmitted for final approval. Chairman Gorriss suggested that <br />this matter be deferred until later in the meeting. <br />(5) Zergott Storage Building (William Zergott), 29857 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct landscape equipment storage building. <br />Heard by the Architectural Board of Review on July 20, 1981. <br />Building Commissioner Gundy introduced the plans which were studied <br />in conjunction with the Architectural Board of Review Minutes of <br />July 20, 1981. R. Perla moved to approve the Zergott Storage <br />Building as submitted and as approved by the Architectural Board <br />of Review, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />(6) National City Bank Building (Blare Buildings, Inc.) <br />Northeast corner of W. 231 and Lorain Rd. (on Rini property) <br />Heard by the Architectural Board of Review on July 20, 1981.
