?
PLANNING COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 22, 1981 PAGE 2
(3) Church of St. Clarence, 30337 Lorain Rd.
Detailed plans for construction of Phase I.
Building Commissioner Gundy explained the Architectural
Board of Review's recommendations. Mr. Quinn, contractor,
advised thatthe Architect was not agreeable to the color
changes. He stated that the reflective white on the roof
was an energy efficient.color, and that the front elevation
also had two 25' wide brick panels for contrast with the
canyon gold walls. After some discussion, it was decided
that.because the structure would be 170' from Lorain Rd.
and since color is purely a matter of aesthetics, and the
brick will eventually cover the walls, the Commission would
agree to the original colors, even though normally they
rely on the Architectural Board's advice. Prokasy, and unanimously
approved.
(4) Seuffert Construction Co., Inc., 24821 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct accessory building (pole barn).
The proposed pole.barn storage building is to house construc-
tion equipment behind the rear parking area of the office
building and will be barely visable from Lorain Rd. After a
short discussion it was decided to refer the proposal to the
Architectural Board of Review since it is on Lorain Rd. R.
Perla moved to refer the Seuffert Construction Co. storage
building to the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by-
J. Roberts, and unanimously approved.
(5) Christ The King, Located on the west side of Barton Road
between I-480 and the North Olmsted south corporateā¢line,
and includes extension to Cook Rd.
Concept Plans and Rezoning Request (Section IV, Item (1)
In cominittee for Regional Planning report.
J. Brown moved to take the Christ The King Community pro-
posal out of.Committee, seconded by J. Roberts, and unani-
mously approved. The Commission studied the Regional
Planning Commission's report which had just been received.
Mr. Brenneman, Architect, Mr. Young, and Mr. Quaintance
"represented Christ the King. In reference to the report,
Mr. Young of Christ The King clarified some points made
by the Regional Planning Commission: the skilled care fa-
cility was not actually a hospital but more-_comparable to
a.nursing home; there would be an out patient clinic for
residents of the community, but doctors would not be in
residence; parents are responsible for transportation to
