Morgan. Roll call on motion: Prokasy,
Morgan, Burns, Roberts, Brown, and Gorris, Aye. Perla abstained.
(2) Christ The King Community Rezoning Request, located on the west
side of Barton Road between I-480 and the North Olmsted south
corporate line and includes extension to Cook Rd. In Committee.
J. Burns moved to take the Christ The King proposal out of com-
mittee, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. The
Commission studied Ord. 81-132 (under COMMUNICATIONS on Agenda)
which amends Chapter 1202 of the Zoning Code entitled "Area
Uses and Standards in Mixed Use Districts". This will amend
Chapter 1202 to include a Mixed Use District B which shall have
a minimum of 35 acres and expands on the uses to include re-
ligious and educational centers and single family or two family
residential housing and sets standards for the above uses.
Single family will be limited to 2 stories. The Commission
questioned if this Ordinance would permit the Skilled Care Fa-
cility (or possibly a dormitory) which would be more than 2
stories. It was decided that such facilities could be ap-
proved by Planning Commission. J. Prokasy moved that Planning
Commission recommend approval of Ord. 81-132, seconded by T.
Morgan, and unanimously approved.
The Commission then studied Ord. 81-133. An Ordinance providing
for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted,
which Zone map is part of the Zoning Code of the City of North
Olmsted, by changing the premises, hereinafter described, with
respect to Parcel No. 1 from Single Family Residence District
to Mixed Use District B; with respect to Parcel No. 2, from
Multiple Residence District to Mixed Use District B; and with
respect to Parcel No. 3, from Limited Industry District to
Mixed Use District B. Since 11 acres of the land is in Olmsted
Township, Chairman Gorris asked Mr. Stackhouse, one of their
trustees who was present; for 4is cgmi?ents on the project. Mr.
Stackhouse explained that they were just beginning to consider
the matter; that they had seen the slide presentation; and that
the proposal will be before their Zoning Commission at a later
date. He pointed out that most of the land in Olmsted Township
will be used for the parking lot and the main concern of the
Township was that their present problems with the lowering of
the water table would be increased. Continuing the discussion
the Commission agreed that since 1480 has cut off this segment
of land, it will be difficult to develop especially since it
encompasses three differently zoned sections; the only access to
the Limited Industrial area would be through the residential
section in either North Olmsted or possibly Olmsted Township.
