Request 46 sq. ft. variance for sign. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1225.02. Also, request for variance 1133.13). Request 2' and 30'front set back variance for pump islands and 38' front set back variance for canopy. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1174.02. Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered. Mr. L. Schutte, Ashland Oil, explained the request. It was suggested that the pump island could be moved back about 8' no variance would be needed for rear islands and the others:could be reduced. E. DeVoto moved to grant a 22' variance for the pump islands, a 30' variance for the canopy, with the condition that_the pole sign be conforming and that_all other signage be in conformitg--with'_the-Ordinance,:.seconded by C. Remmel, and_unanimously approved. Set back-;variances granted. 6. Ohio Savings (Brooks Electric Signs), 4570 Great Northern Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance to replace faces on existing non-conforming (location) pole and ground signs. Viola- tion of Ord.,62-33, Section 1221.06 F-4 and Section 1221.96 F-2. Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered. It was explained that the variances were nec- essary due to location as specified under the new sign ordinance. This will be for the same company since Shaker Savings has now merged with Ohio Savings. The entire area is in concrete and in order to move the sign, the concrete would have to be torn up and patched. E. DeVoto moved to grant the variance, seconded by C.
