The <br />oath was administered. , The plans were studied and explained to the <br />neighbors. The neighbors questioned why a detached, free stan ding <br />garage is being planned instead of an attached structure which would be <br />more in keeping with the neighborhood. Also, why should the garage be <br />in the fifty foot set back area. C. Remmel suggested that perhaps a <br />storage area could be planned in connection with the area set aside for <br />the proposed addition so that it could later be incorporated with the <br />addition when it is builto Mra Brody, representing the church, agreed <br />to move the garage west so that no portion of it would be in the 50T <br />area adjacent to the residential area on Allendale Dr. Mr. Remmel <br />suggested that the church return with a plan that is more acceptable to <br />the surroun ding property owners and also one that is more compatible with <br />their future expansion plans. C. Remmel moved to app(rove the special <br />permit as modified, seconded by L. Horvath. Roll call on motion: <br />Messrso Remmel and Horvath, nay, Mr. Ledvina, aye. Motion failed to <br />pass. Special permission denied. <br />5. Joseph D. Mate, 3343 W. 231 St. <br />Request for variance (1133.13)o Request 25' height variance for radio <br />antenna, also will not be added to gable side of house. Violation of <br />Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04e Also, request permission to add to non- <br />conforming dwelling. Special permit required Ord. 62-33, Section 1161.01. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. Councilwoman J. Saringer p resented a petition- <br />signed by 72.residents of West 231 Street stating that: "We, the residents <br />of West 231 Street, oppose the Radio Tower and antenna at 3343 West <br />231 Street." Chairman Ledvina then read a letter from Mrss Saringer <br />explaining why the residents opposed the antenna. P4r. Psate explained <br />his plans and how he was going to construct the tower. D. Ledvina <br />moved to approve the variance and special permit, seconded by C. Remmel. <br />Roll Call on Motion: Messrs. Ledvi.na and Remmel, nay, Mr. Horvath, aye. <br />Motion failed to pass. Variance and special permit denied. <br />6. Eli Ardelean, 23885 Maple Ridge Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 1' side yard variance and 3'6" <br />rear yard variance to replace existing garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33, <br />Se ction 1151. 04. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. This is to replace an existing garage on the <br />briginal slab. The plans were explained to the neighbor. L. Horvath <br />moved to grant the variances, seconded by C. Reimmel, and Lmanimously <br />approvedo Variances granted.
