Mr. Williams <br />suggestedtl'iat the.parking area should be splayed. This would <br />eliminate 3 parking sgaees that are necessary, andMr. <br />Geisser has planned to put all the parking in the front,in <br />deference to the residential p.raperty in the rear. Mr. <br />Williams still feels that the splaying is necessary. C. Petroski <br />mbved to approve the W. Geisser Office Building plan with the <br />recommendation that the roof material all be new, that the <br />required 7 foot set back area from the sidewalk to the parking <br />''- lot be maintained as discussed, that the splays be put into <br />the parking area to facilitate easier parking, that the <br />small planting area will have English i,vy as groimd cover and <br />a needle evergreen in the juniper.range, low growing, of only <br />one kind, with the possiblity of one evergreen to give body <br />right by the door, seconded by D. Wi-lliams, and unanimously <br />app rove d. <br />(e) Robert Goold-Plaza, 25765 Lorain Rde <br />Referred _by the Planning Commission Meeting September 11, 1979. <br />D. Margulies explained the plans. -The exterior material <br />will be Dryvit, andbronze tint windows. will be used. These _ <br />are concept plans only and detailed plans would be available <br />later. Planting and parking areas were studied. D. Williams <br />moved 'to approve the plans on concept providing that 1) <br />on the building itself the detailed plans concerning air <br />conditioning or roof .top installations be submitted showing <br />that ttiey are screened from view of -the street, 2) redesign <br />the plans to raise. the sill height tmder. the soffit area <br />where plant beds are to- approximately. match the height of the <br />wall,. raising the dirt in- plant beds accordingly-with util- <br />ization of grotmd cover-type -piants -accordingly, 3)- study--the - <br />south corners of structure w-ith_-the i.dea_-of_pxo.tecting these <br />corners from the adverse effects.of vehicl.es:; 4) restudy _the <br />site plan to decrease the width of the- entrance roads to 24 <br />feet,. the -eas t- to be at a 90°_ angle - to Lorain Road, instal- - <br />ling a curb _from.the rear accQss road-_to meet-=this, add <br />splayed areas at the ends of parking bays, increase the <br />width of the walk in front of the building on Lorain Road <br />to 8 feet, 5) restudy the plant beds to provide areas more <br />in relation to the structure and the paving area itself in <br />relation to the -amount of automobile -overhang on the curb <br />area, 6) submit a signage plan; 7) submit.a lighting plan <br />to include the type of light, 8) investigate the sidewalk <br />on Lorain Road and areas not presently paved i.e. that area <br />between the sidewalk and the curb pave in green concrete, <br />8) resubmit planting plans reconsidering low growing needle <br />evergreens, seconded by C. Petroski, and unanimously <br />app rove d.
