. <br />PLANNING COMNffSSION MAY 22, 1979 PAGE 2 <br />that a traf.fic study could be made to see if a light were needed <br />after both establishments were opened. Mre Roberts moved to <br />refer the Anthony Dindia proposal to the Architectural Board <br />of Review and to the Engineering Department, and for Engineering <br />to pay particular attention to the location of the entrance <br />on to West 231 St., and to the location of the National City <br />Bank Teller Island, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously <br />app rove d. <br />(a) Signs : <br />Building Commissioner Gimdy introduced the North Olmsted <br />Boosters sign which is to be located at the intersection of <br />Brookpark and Lorain for a six month period. This is a <br />16 ' x 8' exterior plywood sign and it will be on public <br />property. It was observed that this is an oversized sign, and <br />could present a traffic hazzard, however it is set 54T back from <br />the intersection. J. Prokasy made a motion to refer the sign <br />request by the North Olmsted Booster Club to committee pending <br />a report from the Safety Director, and until a representative <br />of the Sign Co, and North Olmsted Boosters are present, <br />seconded by J. Roberts, and tmanimously approved. <br />The following signs are referred from the Architectural Board of <br />Review of May 21, 1979: ; <br />The Uppercut - 24002 Lorain Rd. Approved and recommended to <br />Planning Commission providing it meets all applicable laws of <br />the City of North Olrosted. Approved as presented by the <br />Architectural Board of Review. This is a non-conforming <br />sign 10 x 8 feet to be erected on an existing pole. J. <br />Prokasy moved to approve the Uppercut Sign as presented, seconded <br />by B. Gorris. Roll call on motion, Messers. Prokasy, Gorris, <br />Ohman and Ryan, aye. Mr Roberts, nay._ Motion passed. <br />Speedy Muffler, 4565 Great Northern Blvd. Approved by the <br />Architectural Board of Review and recommended to Planning <br />Commission as presented, providing it meets all sign ordinances <br />and are installed per site plan. W. Ohman moved to approve the <br />sign as presented, seconded by D. Ryan, and unanimously <br />app rove d. <br />T+later Tower Pizza, 4862 Dover Center Rd. Approved by the <br />Architectural Board of Review, and recomended to the Planning <br />Commission provided the wood meet exterior preservatives and _ <br />paint is exterior type on facia sign. Temporary sign approved <br />as requested. D. Ryan moved to approve the signs as recom- <br />mended by the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by J. <br />Prokasy, and unanimously approved. <br />Great Phone Co., 25190 Lorain Rd. Approved and recommended <br />to Planning Commission as presented by the Architectural Review
