4 • Planning Com.mission 4-22-75 -3- (2) Cardinal Federal Savings and Loan - South side of Lorain Rd. across from Canterbury Road - Development Plan Nfre Gundy presented Cardinal Federal Savings and ]Goan. Assembled before the Commission were Jerald Baker, Architect for Biskup Row 9ssoc3ates and Mr. Del Bates, Legal Counsel for Cardinal Federal. Discussion was held in reference to letter received from Law Direc- tor Gareau in regard to this item. Mro McDermott distributed prints. Mr. Tischler moved to insert Item V(a) on agenda prior to Stem TII (a) (2)a Motion was seconded by Mrs. :Eian and passed unanimously. Mre McDermott distributed subdivision plans for Cardinal Federal Savings and Zoan which is a consolidation of two parcels of lando Parcels were discussed - location, etc. The two parcels are 133•98 square feet combined. Mr. Tischler moved for approval. At this time lengthy, detailed discussion ensued regarding timetable and procedure for processin the subdivision of the two parcels. Mr. Prokasy ex- plained same &hree readings by Council and the time involved). Messrs. Bates and Baker suggested an alternate plan - filing a cor- rected deed, etc. Each way was analy2ed. Background and subdivi- sion of the parcel were explained. Yx. Prokasy then said there is a motion on the floor. Motion was seconded by Mr. Roberts. Motion was approved unanimously. Mr. Prokasy stated now under consideration are the site plans for Cardinal Savings and Loan. General la.yout is same as at last meet- inge The one exception is the location of the curb cut. Mr. McDer- mott said engineering Dept. has not reviewed the site plans for drain- age yet. Mr. Tischler asked how far edge of parking is from the pave- ment of Brookpark. Plans were checked and measured, N?r. Roberts dis- cussed traff--c congestion, traffic flow and questioned changing se- quence. Aiscussion £ollowed. Mr. Tischler moved for approval of the site plan subject to the inclusion of acceptance of underground reten- tion basin acceptable to the Engineering Department; and9 secondly, subject to the traffic flow being studied and acceptable to the Txans- portation Committee of Councilm Motion seconded by Mre E1liott. Roll Call on Motion. Voting ayet Tischler, Prokasy, Rafeld, Elliott,Eian and Freeh. Negative voteo Roberts. Notion carried. (b) New Requests (1) ?tiraldo Nursery - proposed storage building at Clague and Lorain Rds. Mr. Gundy said this is a building of some.Z,000 sq. ft. to accommo- date storage of trucks and equ3.pment. There is no specific require- ment for off street parking. Mr. Tn;aldo came before the Commission and explained driveway and landscaping. Councilman 5aringer and Mr. Kristoff appeared before the Commission. Mrs. Saringer asked with the trucks pulling in off Lorain, is there room to turn around, or how wi11 the trucks back out. Mr. Waldo said a turn arounde Mrs. Saringer asked if he has a turn around nowa PIr. Waldo said no.
