<br />Page 2- Minutes Board of Zoning Appeals - September 62 1967 <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section <br />I163.0I which requires. a 501 rear yardo <br />Present: Mr. Sanc7.Ier <br />Mr. Sandler presented plans for house that the Orlean Co. hoPes to construct <br />on tlze four lots in question. Because of the attached garage and size of home, <br />va.riances would be necessary to nroceed. The possibility of moving the houses <br />forward a distance of 51 in order to have larger back yards was discussed. The <br />general opinion was th€3.t a 51 front yard variance and a 101 rear yard variance <br />would be mor.e acceptable than a 151 rear yard variance. Mrs. Eian moved that <br />a 101 rear yard variance and a 51 f'ront yard variance be granted for S/L 50, <br />24932 Antler Drive; seconded by Mr. Nelson and passedo Mr. Nelson moved that <br />a 101 rear yard va.riance and a 51 front yard variance be granted for S/L 48, <br />24884 Antler Drive; seconded by Mrs. Eian and passed. Mr. Roberts moved that <br />a 101 rea.r yard variance and a 51 front yard variance be granted for SA 2g9 <br />24$37 Ant].er Drive; seconded by Mr. Nelson and passed. Mr. Roberts moved that <br />a 101 rear yard variance and a 51 front yard variance be grantecl on S/L 25, <br />24909 Antler Drive; seconded by Mrs. Eian and passed. <br />8. Appellant: The Orlean Co. Recauest to place a temporary directional sign <br />4' X 61 on the corner of Columbia Road and Fawn Drive (property <br />owned by Mr. & Mrs. Guzi, 3367 Columbia Road). <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance 7#62-33, Section 1225.01. <br />Present: iKr. Sandler <br />Mr, Sandler exnlained that a sign of this type is needed to direct prospective <br />buyers to model homes. A non-illuminated painted plywood sign for.a period of <br />one year is requestedo Mro Nelson moved to grarit the varia,rice provided sign is <br />101 of:F property line for a duration of one year; seconded by Mr. Roberta and <br />passed. <br />9. Appellant: R4ister ponut, 27624 Lorain Road. Request to add to their existing <br />pole sign. Sign would be in excess of permitted square footage. <br />Rea,uest is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section 1225.02. <br />Present: Mr. Scygan <br />Mr. Scygan explained that his existing sign is between two other poZe signs <br />and is not easily seen by approachi.ng traffic. Existing s3gn is 47 sguare feet. <br />Rec!uest is for 32 saua.re feet additional area. A variance of 29 sauare feet is <br />reouesteci. Nir. Nelson moved to grant a variance of 29 square feet to make sign <br />a total of 79 square feet; seconded by Mrs. Eian and passed. <br />10. Appellant: Malley's Candies, 23755 Lorain Road. Request for variance for <br />oif-s-treet parking requirement. <br />Request is in violation of O-Tdinance 01'62-33, Section 1212.02. <br />Hresent: Mr. Lesko and Mr. Duisik <br />Mr. Lesko explained that candy store and ice cream parlor would be built on <br />premises of Du3sik Plunbing and Heating Co. and would share parking space. <br />Approximately 47 spaces are a,vailableo Mr. 1Velson moved to grant variance
