Mr. Scheef made a motion to grant an 89 square foot variance; seconded by <br />Mrs. Eian and unanimously passed. <br />9. August R. Bizay, 4546 Clague Rd, - Rehearing request to erect detached <br />garage 13' from adjacent dwelling. Mr. Bizay claims he did not receive <br />notice of last hearing, 9,/22/71a Request is in violation of Ord. #62-33, <br />Section 1151.04, which requires a minimum of 20' between detached garage <br />and any dwelling. <br />Present: Mr. Bizay, Mr. Arth, 14rs. Brown. <br />All witnesses were sworn in. Mra Bizay presented plans. He stated that he would <br />like to put in another driveway on the north side of his homea Nr. Roberts said <br />that the request was too premature as there is no def inite information on the Berm. <br />Mr. Bizay withdrew his case. <br />10. J. L. Goodman Fuxniture Co., 24167 Lorain Ave, - Request for variance for <br />less parking than required by Ord. #62-33, Section 1212.02. <br />Present: Mr. John Rhein of H. Z. Vokes Co,, Mr. Goodman, Mr. Dippel, Mr. Olah, <br />Mrs. Gilmour, Eugene King. <br />A11 witnesses were sworn in. Plans were presented. A discussion was heldo Mr. <br />King asked about the swamp in the back; if the parking 1ot is paved, where will <br />the water go? Mr. Rhein said that it would go into the Goodman Furniture Store <br />drain. Mr. Roberts asked Mr. Gundy about the tiaater problem. Mro Gundy stated <br />that the drainage problem would be checked by the City Engineer. The people <br />can look at the drainage plan in the Engineering Department, Mr. Olah asked how <br />far the gas wells are located. PZr. Gundy stated that the gas we11s would have to <br />be plugged if the property were to be developed within 1001 of the we11s, Mrs. <br />Gilmour, 4193 Coe, said that she had tried to get the gas we11s plugged for <br />twelve years. Mre Scheef asked what would be the maximum number of parking <br />spaces needed for this type of businesse Mr. Goodman stated that 50 would be <br />adequate. A discussion was held as to cutting down the parking spaces and <br />landscaping the area instead, therefore improving the looks of the property. <br />Nr. Tubbs made a motion to grant a variance allowing a reduction of 82 parking <br />spaces, which tiai11 allow a total of 50 parking spaces for this 1ot. The variance <br />is contingent on the landscaping, and this motion was made with the understanding <br />that it is for this particular occupancy. It was seconded by Mr. Scheef and <br />passed-:with Mr;.Roberts voting no. <br />11.
