BOARD OF ZONZNG APPEALS -(9/22/71) - Page 3 <br />4. Appellant: Arthur Rivers, 24971 Arlington Lane - Request to install 4' <br />fence around portion of rear yard on a corner lot. Violation Ord. <br />#62-33, Section 1151.04, which states that a fence may not exceed 30" <br />- between building line and street line on corner lot and Section 1163.01 <br />?• which requires 50' rear yard. <br />Present: Mr. Rivers, <br />? Mr0 Rivers was sworn in. His letter was read, Mr. Rivers stated that he owned a <br />dog that stands 30" high and a fence 30" high would not be of any benef ite He also <br />stated that a redwood fence 30" high would look out of place and detract from the <br />property. Mrs. E ian moved to grant a variance to permit a 4' fence around the <br />portion of the rear yard of the corner 1ot. Mr. Tubbs seconded the motion. The <br />variance was unanimously passedo <br />5. Appellant: Margaret Baker, 4776 Porter Road - Request ior variance on <br />existing 5' fence along rear property line. Violation Ord, #62-33, <br />Section 1151.04, fence not to exceed 4' in height. <br />Present: Mrs. Baker. <br />Mrs. Baker was sworn in. Her letter was read. Mrs. Baker stated this fence was <br />erected without a permit and that the reason for this was because of the dog kennel, <br />containing 14 dogs, in the back. Mrs. Baker had notified the police and the dog <br />warden, Mr. Roberts asked her if she had talked to the neighbors in that area. She <br />said she had and they approved of the fenceo A motion was made by Mr. Berglund to <br />grant the variance. It was seconded by Mrs. Eian, and unanimously passed. <br />6, Appellant: Richard McKean, 6023 Fitch Road - Request for special permit <br />? to add to non-conforming dwelling. Request as per Ord. #62-33, Section <br />1231.02. <br />Present: Mr. McKean. <br />Mr. NlcKean was sworn in. A discussion followed, and facts were presented and <br />explained by appellant. Mr..Tubbs made a motion to approve Mr. McKean's request <br />for special permit. Mr. Berglund seconded the motion and it was unanimously passed. <br />7. Appellant: Ronald King, 29565 Dorchester Drive - Request for special permit'- <br />to erect tool shed in rear yard. Request as per Ord, #62-33, Section 1133.09. <br />Present: Mre Kinge <br />Mr. King was sworn in. Mr. King stated that he would like to erect a tool shed as he <br />doesn't have a basement and would like to have some storage space. Mr. Tubbs stated <br />that the letter to Bretton Ridge stated addition to house. He questioned the fact <br />that they know whether it is a tool shedo He said Mr. King would have to be more <br />specific about size. Mr. Tubbs advised Mr..King to contact the President of the <br />Bretton Ridge Civic Service Association. Mr. Tubbs made a motion to continue this <br />case at the next meeting. It was seconded by Mr. Berglund and unanimously passed <br />/ ?. <br />(a to continue this at the next meeting.
