Mr. Brake suggested having an area to promote the city's <br />ability to host such large events as well. A subcommittee was formed consisting of Ms. Strippy, <br />Ms. Kilbane, Ms. Graff and Mr. Brake. <br />City Hall Art Gallery <br />Ms. Wenger reviewed the existing forms and asked for suggested improvements. Ms. DePolo <br />said most artists don't show their work for more than a month as they try to schedule their work <br />to be shown in multiple areas throughout the year. The commission suggested offering options <br />for display periods such as one, two and three month timeframes. Ms. Wenger said the city <br />doesn't promote selling the artwork. Artists can be invited to provide flyers or an autobiography <br />including information of the pieces which can be picked up from the literature rack. <br />Community Networks <br />Commissioners discussed inviting other arts and culture groups to their meetings so they can <br />network and create partnerships.
