<br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Mr. Papotto, to grant APP14-1096: Auto Wash of 27100 <br />Lorain Road a variance to add/alter a non-coriforming building; section 1165.02(b) which <br />passed 3-0. <br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Mr. Papotto, to grant APP14-1096: Auto Wash of 27100 <br />Lorain Road the following variances: <br />1. A variance for 2 additional ground signs; a variance was previously granted for 2 <br />ground signs and 2 additional "pay here" signs are being added for a total of 4 ground <br />signs, section 1163.27(a). <br />2. A 31.41 square foot variance for total sign face area on a lot is required, this includes a <br />previous 20sq.ft. Variance granted; section 1165.25(b). <br />3. A 6 foot west side yard setback variance is required, code requires 10 ft., applicant <br />shows 4ft; section 1139.07. <br />Motion passed 3-0. <br />APP14-1936: Lube Stop; 28401 Lorain Road: <br />1123.07 Appeals. The applicant has appealed the decision of the Building Commissioner that the <br />removal of an existing pole sign and installation of a new sign pole at this location constitutes a <br />new pole sign, which is in violation of sections 1163.10 and 1163.31 and must be removed. <br />Mr. Haddad, Jr. asked about his options as there were only three members present. Mr. Gareau <br />reviewed the applicant's options. Mr. Haddad requested to be tabled. <br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Mr. Raig, to table APP14-1936: Lube Stop of 28401 Lorain <br />Road to the Noverraber 3, 2014 meeting which passed 3-0. . <br />APP14-1966: Wendv's Restaurant; 26650 Lorain Road: . <br />Proposal consists of replacing existing signage with new signage package. The following <br />variances are required: <br />1. A variance for the placement of a directional and new ground sign within the 35 ft. free and <br />clear sight triangle; code does not allow, Section 1163.17. <br />2. A 16.5 sq ft variance for the maximum sign face per building; code permits 71 sq. ft., <br />applicant shows 87.5 sq ft, Section 1163.25(b). <br />3. A variance for 4 additional ground signs; code permits 1, applicant shows 5, Section <br />1163.27(a). <br />4. A variance for 3 ground signs less than 200 ft apart at the south property line, and 2 ground <br />signs less than 200 ft apart at the north property line (drive through menu boards); code does <br />not allow, Section 1163.27(a). <br />5. A 28 inch variance for a ground sigri within the 5 ft. right-of-way setback; code requires 5 ft, <br />applicant shows 32 in, Section 1163.27(b). <br />6. A 41 sq ft variance for the total square footage of a ground sign; code permits 65 sq ft, <br />applicant shows 106 sq ft, Section 1163.27(c)(2). <br />The oath was administered to sign representative Dean Schramm.
