The following variances are requested: <br />1. A 174 sq. ft. variance for a garage addition; code permits 750 sq. ft., applicant shows 924 sq. <br />ft., Section 1135.02(c)(1). <br />The oath was administered to Dennis Thompson. Mr. Thompson said he has owned a vintage car <br />for 50 years and he would like to take it out of storage and restore it in his new garage so it can <br />be shown at shows. He has decreased the extension to be 10'x 22' which decreases the total <br />square footage of garage to 880 sq. ft. He will need a variance for 130 sq. ft. Mr. Allain asked <br />for confirmation that the applicant was decreasing the variances requested and Mr. Thompson <br />said yes. Mr. Allain asked why the addition wasn't behind the garage and Mr. Thompson said <br />thought was given to placing the addition along the rear, but to access the addition most the yard <br />would have to be paved. Mr. Raig said he had no objections as the view from the back of the <br />home is not impaired. Mr. Mansbach said a <br />sunroom was added to the home sometime in the 70's prior to them owning the home, without <br />permits and now needs to be replaced. It appears that there was a concrete patio and the sunroom <br />was added over the patio. They would like to remove ihe sunroom and install a new 4-season <br />room using the existing footprint from the sunroom. The room will have heating and cooling and <br />the exterior will be white to match the existing home.
