clarified that the setback variance is for the northern side of the parking lot. Ms. Meredith did not <br />think the setback variance would affect the neighbors since it is toward the back of the property. <br />She also did not think the curbing variance should be granted because there is no guarantee that <br />the possible expansion will occur, Ms. Sabo agreed. Ms. Meredith suggested separating the <br />motions for the variances. <br />Ms. Meredith moeed, seconded by Mr. Allain, to grant the following variance as amended <br />for 16-6160; Grace Church; 4816 Dover Center Road: <br />1. A 17.8 ft. variance for side yard parking setlback; code requires 20 ft., applicant shows <br />2.2 ft.; Section 1118.04(a)(2)(c). <br />Motion passed 3-0, Mr. Papotto abstained. <br />Ms. Meredith moved, seconded by Mr. Allain, to grant the following variance as amended <br />for 16-6160; Grace Church; 4816 Dover Center Road: <br />1. A variance for continuous concrete curbs for parking lot pea-imeter; code requires <br />continuous concrete curbs, applicant shows partial curbing; Section 1161.11(a). <br />Motion denied 0-3, Mr. Papotto abstained. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />30399 Lorain Demolition <br />Mr. Gareau reviewed the case with the Board. To his knowledge, Mr. Pulito and the other <br />owners of the property have not tried to go through the courts to gain access or full ownership of <br />the property in order to abate the property maintenance issues. The house had been condemned <br />by the Building Commissioner and no formal appeal had been made to the Building Department. <br />The letter dated April 8, 2016 from Gino Pulito to the Building and Zoning Board of Appeals <br />was read into the record. The house will be demolished by the city after Council approves the <br />legislation. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Mr. Allain moved, seconded by Mr. Papotto, to excuse the absence of Mr. Raig, motion <br />passed 4-0. <br />With no further busiupss the?nee)ft adjourned at 8:00 p.m. <br />l / <br />?
