A 3 ft. variance for rear yard setback; code requires 50 ft., applicant shows 47 ft., Section <br />1135.08(a). <br />Mr. Aspery stated that the applicant is requesting a variance of 6 ft. to allow for the addition of a <br />12 ft. by 16 ft. detached deck in their back yard. The current rear yard setback is 69 feet, whereas <br />the deck addition would reduce this number to 47 feet with proposed spacing. Code requires a <br />rear yard setback of no less than 50 feet. Mr. Costello stated that the deck was moved six feet <br />from the house to accommodate the egress window from the lower level of the house. A drainage <br />system also runs along the house and he did not want to disrupt it. Mr. Holt asked that the Board <br />grant the variance because he believed the improvements look good. Mr. Papotto believed setting <br />the deck off the house was good to accommodate future maintenance issues and the egress, Mr. <br />Raig agreed that it was thoughtfully planned out. <br />Ms. Meredith moved, seconded by Mr. Allain, to grant the following variance as written for <br />16-7110; William & Eileen Costello; 4589 Selhurst Road: <br />1. A 3 ft. variance for rear yard setback; code requires 50 ft., applicant shows 47 ft., <br />Section 1135.08(a). <br />Motion passed 5-0. <br />16-7115; Kevin Drazen; 26730 Ross Circle <br />Representative: Kevin Drazen, owner <br />Proposal consists of a 12' x 16' shed.
