BOARD OF ZONIIVG AI'PEALS 2005 REPORT <br />T. Kelly moved to grant Bryan Holmgren of 5107 Whitethorn Ave his request for variance <br />(1123.12) which consists of an accessory structure and that the following variances are granted as <br />amended: <br />1. A 2 foot variance for an accessory structure higher than code permits, (code permits 12 <br />ft., applicant shows 14 ft), which is in violation of 90-125, Section (1135.02 (D2). <br />The applicant must follow the engineering requirements for drainage of the structure. W. <br />Kremzar seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. 3/3/05 <br />Schuster; 4548 Ranchview: (WRD 1) <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Mr. & Mrs. Schuster of 4548 Ranchview their request for variance <br />(1123.12), which consists of a new shed and that the following variance is granted as amended: <br />1. A 112 square foot variance for a shed larger than code allows, (code permits 144 sq. ft., <br />applicant shows 256 sq. ft.), which is in violation of 90-125, Section (1135.02 (D)). <br />The shed must include downspouts which are to be tied into the underground storm sewer and the <br />over hang could never be enclosed. M. Diver seconded the motion, roll call on the motion; W. <br />Kremzar "no", and J. Maloney, M. Diver and T. Kelly "yes". Variance Granted 3/3/05 <br />Charter One Bank; 26662 Brookpark Road Ext. (WRD 1) <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Charter One Bank of 26662 Brookpark Road Ext. their request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of removing existing sign (38.2 sq') and installing a new sign <br />in a new location (28.5 sq'), and that the following variance is granted: 1. A 372.8 square foot <br />variance for total square footage of wall sings on a building, (code permits 353', applicant shows <br />725.8 sq'), which is in violation of 90-125, Section (1136.24 (B)). M. Diver seconded the motion <br />which was unanimously approved. 3/3/05 <br />Thomasville Furniture; 4646 Great Northern Blvd.: (WRD 4) <br />J. Maloney moved to table Thomasville Furniture of 4646 Great Northern Blvd until the April <br />Board of Zoning Appeals meeting. W. Kremzar seconded the motion, which was unanimously <br />approved. Proposal Tabled. 3/3/05 <br />Sunnyside Saturn; (PP# 232-25-010,033 & 232-26-001), 26890 Lorain Road;(WRD 1) <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Sunnyside Saturn of 26890 Lorain Road their request for variance <br />(1123.12), which consists of new signs and that the following variances are granted as amended: <br />1. A variance for 5 wall signs on a building, (code permits 1, applicant shows 5), section <br />(1136.27 (A)). <br />2. A 38.7 square foot variance for total square footage of signs on a building #1., (code permits <br />162 sq. ft., applicant shows 200.7 sq. ft), section (1163.24 (B)). <br />3. A variance for 5 additional ground signs on a lot, #2, (code permits 1, applicant shows 6), <br />section (1163.26 (A)). <br />4. An 18 square foot variance for a ground sign larger than code permits, (code permits 50 sq. ft, <br />applicant shows 68 sq. ft), section (1163.26 (C)). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1163.27 (A)), (1163.24 (B)), (1163.26 (A)), and <br />(1163.26 (C)). J. Maloney seconded the motion, roll call on the motion; J. Maloney, W. Kremzar, <br />M. Diver "yes" and T. Kelly "no". Variances Granted 3/3/05 <br />Movie Gallerv; 23300 Lorain Road: (WRD 2) <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Movie Gallery of 23300 Lorain Road their request for variance <br />(1123.12), which consists of a new sign as amended and that the Building Department will <br />reconfigure the allowable square footage to determine the variance required. The applicant is to <br />submit an accurate site plan. J. Maloney seconded the motion, roll call on the motion, J. <br />Maloney, W. Kremzar "yes", M. Diver and T. Kelly "no". Motion Denied 3/3/05
