BOARD OF ZONING f1PPEALS 2005 REPORT <br />Harry Buffalo• 470 Great Northern Mall: (WRD 4) <br />The board questioned a fax they received from the mall indicating they had not given approval for <br />the applicant's request. Mr. Aftoora stated that he did not know that the board needed to have a <br />letter from the landlord. Mr. O'Malley advised that the board requires the landlords to be <br />involved with the sign requests. They further would like the landlords present to address a sign <br />package for the entire mall. Mr. Aftoora stated he would return in April with the proper <br />requirements. 3/3/05 <br />APRIL 7, 2005 <br />Weber Automotive 23779 Lorain Road, (WRD 2) <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Weber Automotive of 23779 Lorain Road their request for variance <br />(1123.12), which consists of a ground sign and that the following variance is granted: <br />1. A 3 foot 6 inch variance for a ground sign too close to the right of way. (Code requires 5', <br />applicant show 1'6"). Which is in violation of 90-125, Section (1163.26 (B)). N. Sergi seconded <br />the motion, roll call on the motion; W. Kremzar, N. Sergi, T. Kelly and J. Maloney "yes", and M. <br />Diver "no". Variance Granted 4/7/05 <br />Carnegie Manag;ement & Development Corporation, Parcel E: <br />Applicant withdrew variance requested. 4/7/05 <br />Developers Diversified• 26437 Brookpark Road: (WRD 4) <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Developers Diversified of 26437 Brookpark Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of new ground signs and that the following variance is granted <br />as amended: <br />4. A 9 square foot variance for a ground sign larger than code permits (sign # 1), (code permits 50 <br />sq', applicant shows 59 sq'). <br />1. A 9 square foot variance for a ground sign larger than code permits (sign #3), (code permits <br />50 sq', applicant shows 59 sq'). <br />9. A 9 square foot variance for a ground sign larger than code permits (sign #2), (code permits <br />50 sq', applicant shows 59 sq'). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1163.26 (C)). M. Diver seconded the motion, <br />which was unanimously approved. Variances Granted as Amended 4/7/05 <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Developers Diversified of 26437 Brookpark Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of new ground signs and that the following variance is granted <br />as: 3. A variance for 4 ground signs on a lot, (code permits 2, applicant shows 4). <br />Which is in violation of 90-125, section (1163.26 (A)). N. Sergi seconded the motion, which was <br />unanimously approved. 4/7/05 <br />M. Maloney moved to grant Developers Diversified of 26437 Brookpark Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of new ground signs and that the following variance is <br />granted: 8. A variance for 3 ground signs (#2, 6, & 7) located on another lot (mall property), <br />(code does not permit, applicant shows 3). <br />Which is in violation of 90-125, section (1163.29). W. Kremzar seconded the motion, roll call on <br />the motion; J. Maloney, W. Kremzar, M. Diver, T. Kelly, "yes" and N. Sergi "no". Variance <br />Granted. 4/7/05 <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Developers Diversified of 26437 Brookpark Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of new ground signs and that the following variances are <br />granted: <br />4
