Status: In progress. The Planning Director has created a Residential Cluster District <br />with open space requirements, which is currently being reviewed by the Zoning <br />Advisory Committee. <br />Promote the City's Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) incentives for improvements to <br />residential and commercial properties. <br />Time Frame: Ongoing <br />Primary Responsibility: Planning, Building, Engineering <br />Status: In progress. More information is now available via the City's website on tax <br />incentives; marketing efforts should continue. <br />Secure CDBG funds for making physical improvements to qualifying residential and <br />commercial properties in identified Improvement Target Area (!TA) locations. <br />Time Frame: Ongoing <br />Primary Responsibility: Planning <br />Supporting Parties: CDBG Citizens Advisory Committee <br />Status: Successful. The City secured funding in 2007 for both ADA improvements to <br />North Olmsted Park and the City wide Exterior Maintenance Program. The City will <br />continue looking for new CDBG grant opportunities. <br />k. Actively enforce the City's real property maintenance code to eliminate unsightly, decaying <br />or unsafe buiiding fronts, yards and deteriorated sidewalks. <br />Time Frame: Ongoing <br />Primary Responsibility: Building <br />Status: In progress_ The Building Department has taken a proactive role in property <br />maintenance, implementing a street by street system rather than a complaint-only <br />system. More can be done to educate residents about property maintenance <br />requirements. <br />2. Economic Development <br />a. Create a limited retail zoning district for neighborhood scale commercial activities <br />Time Frame: Short range <br />Primary Responsibility: Planning <br />Supporting Parties: Planning Commission, City Council <br />Status: In progress. <br />b. Revifalize the City's Community Improvement Corporation (CIC). <br />Time Frame: Short range <br />Primary Responsibility: Planning <br />Supporting Parties: Administration, Chamber of Commerce <br />Status: No progress. <br />c. Create an inventory of vacant parcels and buildings available for development in <br />cooperation with the Cuyahoga County Department of Development and North Olmsted <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br />Time Frame: Short range <br />Primary Responsibility: Planning <br />Supporting Parties: Cuyahoga Co. Dept of Development, Chamber of Commerce <br />Status: No progress.
