, <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Mahoney, to recommend the Board of Zoning Appeals <br />grant Clark Gas Station of 28915 Lorain Road a variance from section 1165.02 based upon <br />the proposed addition not meeting front and rear setback requirements. This is in order to <br />allow the applicant the opportunity to continue a reasonable use of their property. Roll <br />call: Lasko, Cotner, Mahoney, Malone, Rerko - yes and Meredith - no; approved 5-1. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Malone, to recommend the Board of Zoning Appeals <br />grant Clark Gas Station of 28915 Lorain Road a variance for 2 additional wall signs; one <br />on the building and two on the pump station canopy to be placed one each on the west and <br />east sides. Roll call: Lasko, Cotner, Mahoney, Malone, Rerko - yes and Meredith - no, <br />approved 5-1. Ms. Meredith the applicant has not demonstrated the need for additional wall <br />signs. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Rerko, to recommend the Board of Zoning Appeals <br />grant Clark Gas Station of 28915 Lorain Road an 18 ft side yard variance for ground sign <br />which was unanimously approved 6-0. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Mahoney, to recommend the Board of Zoning Appeals <br />grant Clark Gas Station of 28915 Lorain Road a variance for the proposed ground sign <br />within the 35 ft sight triangle setback, which was unanimously denied 6-0. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Malone, to recommend the Board of Zoning Appeals <br />grant Clark Gas Station of 28915 Lorain Road a variance for 2 parking spaces 6 are <br />required 4 are shown. Roll call: Cotner, Mahoney, Malone, Rerko, Lasko - yes and <br />Meredith - no; approved 5-1. Ms. Meredith felt 4 spaces were not enough when the size of the <br />building is being tripled in size and spaces proposed block the services. Mr. Lasko felt that the <br />nature of the business is quick service and spaces are not occupied very long. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Mahoney, to recommend the Board of Zoning Appeals <br />grant Clark Gas Station of 28915 Lorain Road a variance for lot size and width which was <br />unanimously approved 6-0. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Mahoney, to recommend the Board of Zoning Appeals <br />grant Clark Gas Station of 28915 Lorain Road a variance for a 3 foot front yard setback <br />due to the overhang of the new addition. Roll call: Cotner, Mahoney, Rerko, Lasko - yes; <br />Meredi'th, Malone - no; approved 4-2. Ms. Meredith the applicant has not demonstrated ahardship for the variance. Mr. Lasko felt that variance was nominal and needed for the design of <br />the structure. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Mahoney, to recommend the Board of Zoning Appeals <br />grant Clark Gas Station of 28915 Lorain Road a 20 ft variance for rear yard setback. Roll <br />call: Cotner, Mahoney, Rerko, Lasko, Malone - yes and Meredith - no; approved 5-1. Mr. <br />Malone supported the rear yard setback only if the landscape recommendations are followed. <br />Mr. Laslco agreed with Mr. Malone and said the request was commercial and abuts other <br />commercial. <br />4
