The Underground Railroad museum in <br />Cincinnati also requested notification. <br />Stearns Marker <br />After discussion it was decided the marker should be installed now with the intention to install <br />the wall at a later date. Consideration for the adjacent trees and room for the wall need to be <br />taken into account when placing the marker. Mr. Schumann will speak with Planning Director <br />Wenger concerning the installation and involving the appropriate Metropaxks representative in <br />the location decision. <br />Mr. Thomas moved, seconded by Ms. Davis, to install the Stearns Marker as soon as <br />possible with the wall to be placed at later time, which was unanimously approved. <br />Date Strip for 23876 Mastick Road (Review) <br />Mr. Thomas reported that he and Mr. Schumann placed the C. 1862 date strip plaque on Ardella <br />Chester's house. The home has great old woodwork. Aside from one or two additions on the <br />back, not many changes have been made. The front is all original and the owner is maintaining <br />the property nicely. Her collection of lighting rods is very interesting. Unfortunately part of a <br />more elaborate lightning rod was lost during the course of a home improvement project. <br />Historic Items at Old Town Hall (Undate) <br />The list of items was discussed and the records retention process reviewed. Mr. Schumann said <br />he would like to see some of the records displayed; others are not needed. Ms. Davis said the <br />bulletins from the North Olmsted Congregational Church were given to the Landmarks <br />Commission. Mr. Thomas and Mr. Schumann will schedule time to look at the items while the <br />Records Commission reviews the issue. Mr. Thomas found the Mayor's court records especially <br />interesting. <br />Landmarks Commission Roster <br />Mr. Schock suggested the commission members review the Landmarks Commission roster and <br />update contact information as needed. A copy of the roster was passed to members present. <br />Certified Local Government Annlication (Work Session) <br />Mr. Schuxnann reviewed the information gathered to date, which he had in his possession. Some <br />of the photos can be better presented and the City has more to offer now than wlien the <br />application was first considered. He and Mr. Thomas will take additional photos. Updated <br />resumes from all commission members are needed; some have been received. The CLG <br />Guidelines, application, checklist, and Appendix A was distributed and explained. Required <br />qualifications of commission members discussed. To answer questions raised, Mr. Schock read <br />from the Charter, Article 7, Section 6, which was passed November 5, 2002.
