S.I.T.E.S. Student Mr. Schumann introduced S.I.T.E.S. student Robert Pickett who has been assigned to the Landmarks Commission. OLD BUSINESS Peake Marker Mr. Thomas said the marker was received and the wording carefully checked. The tentative date for the dedication ceremony is Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Mr. Schumann or Mr. Thomas will speak with Service Director Limpert concerning installation prior to that date. The Olmsted Historical Society party is hosting a party for the members on that date; combining the two events will work well. Representatives from the Ohio Historical Society and Underground Railroad Museum will be invited. Invitations will be created and mailed in the near future. The Publicity Department of the Olmsted Historical Society will contact the local papers and the media. The Call & Post publication may cover the event for an article. Stearns Marker The marker has been installed and is very visible. The stone work will be done at a later date. Historic Items at Old Town Hall The Records Retention Committee reviewed the submitted questions at the last meeting. The Law Director will research the matter and review the results at next meeting of the Records Retention Committee. Landmarks Commission Roster An updated roster was distributed. Mr. Herwick added his work e-mail. Website Link Mr. Chris Steward added a link on the Olmsted Historical Society website to the City of North Olmsted website. A request has not yet been submitted to the City for the addition of a matching link to the Olmsted Historical Society. Certified Local Government Application Mr. Thomas will chair the CLG Committee; Mr. Schumann and Mr. Schock will serve on the committee. Workbook binders were distributed to the committee members. Although some questions will require the expertise of other Landmarks Commission members, the majority of the work will be done by the committee. Mr. Schumann has received some updated resumes, but not all. 2
