Streetscape Enhancement Recommendations • Enhance the appearance of the I-480 ramp amas at Great Northem Boulevard with landscaping, public azt, signage and other ameniries to create gateways iato the City. • Reconstruct Counay Club Boulevard to include sidewalks on boch sides of the srnct and a new ccntcr median with a mixturc of landscape, briclcscape, decorative lighting and other visual amenities. • Install decorarive srnec lights along Buttemut Ridge Rnad that aze context sensitive to its historical character. • Encourage the appropriate use of communiry srnetscaQe banncrs. • Sofren thc appearance of surface pazking azcas through the use of landscaping. Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement Recommendations • Construct a designated bicycle lane along Buttemut Ridge Road and a portion of Columbia Road to connect to the eiristing birycle route on Cedar Point Rnad in the Iincky River Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. • Encourage pedauian and birycle improvements on private properry thmugh parmerships and in the course of development review through the Planning and Design Commission. • Address dcficiendes in sidewalks by working wit6 property owners to install sidewalks whae missing and to repair or replace sidewalks that aze cracked and uneven. • Ensure all sidewalks and cucb ramps aze accessible to persons with disabiliti«. • Improve crosswalks with diffuentiated paving mataials, colors and tcgtures. Install countdown crosswalk timets in areas of high ttaffic. • Coordinate birycle facility improvemara with the Cuyahoga County Bike Faciliries Prioriry Plan. • Insrall birycle racks at points of communiry dutination.
