While the residents reviewed the plans the Building Commissioner said that the <br />signage could be addressed at the next meeting. Ms. Wenger suggested addressing all signage <br />for the site at the same tiine with the GetGo development plan. Mr. Lasko reviewed that the <br />metal bollards would be replaced with masonry planters, the pharmacy columns will be masonry, <br />bike racks to be installed, two parlcing spaces will be removed to straighten the drive isles and a <br />new landscape plan will be submitted showing the size, quantity and style of all plants and will <br />address the grass area to the northeast. Mr. Holden said he is concerned about foot traffic during <br />winter months along Mill Road as the sidewallcs are not plowed. The access to the baclc of the <br />building it is not one-way and there are vendors unloading their products along the back of the <br />building which is not to occur. There are also concerns that there are truclcs being left running at <br />night and they would lilce to see the amount of traffic behind the building limited. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by 1dIr. Rerko to table CMS10-31: Giant Eagle Pharmacy of <br />27264 Lorain Road which was approved 6-0. <br />COMMUNICATION <br />ORDINAlo1CE NO. 2010-112 <br />An Ordinance amending Section 1139.01 of the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted to <br />permit entertainment device arcades in general retail zoning district, subject to conditional use <br />permit and additional area restrictions. PDC tabled 8/25/10, 9/8/10 & 9/22/10. <br />Ms. Wenger said the ordinance would amend the Zoning Code to allow for and regulate <br />entertainment device arcades. The companion legislation, Ord. 2010-111, was adopted, which <br />creates new business regulations for these facilities. The Zoning Code amendment would make <br />such facilities a conditional use in the General Retail Business District subject to requirements <br />for spacing and separation, minimum floor area, maximum number of machines, and parking. <br />The Law Director has proposed amendments to one of the definitions proposed for the new <br />section. The Engineering Department prepared a map showing the possible locations in the City <br />for the use based upon the spacing criteria listed in the ordinance. Mr. O'Malley said the map <br />shows there are viable areas within the city that such facilities can be located. Mrs. Meredith <br />reviewed the areas which such areas could be located. Mr. Parry said he aslced how restaurant <br />and bars would be affected if they already have more than four game machines. Mr. O'Malley <br />said the revised definition addresses the issue and covers cash prizes for sweepstalces games. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded Mrs. Meredith, to recommend City Council adopt ordinance <br />2010-112 which was approved 6-0. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2010-126 <br />An ordinance repealing section 1123.15 of the North Olmsted zoning code entitled "expiration of <br />order," and amending section 1123.12 of the north olmsted zoning code entitled "appeal
