the same area and will be required to be fenced in separately with individual gates. The concrete
wallcway will be used by all carriers. Clearwire will be responsible for the maintenance of the
wallcway area and their equipment compound. They would prefer not to expand the parking as
there is an existing fire hydrant that would have to be moved. The proposed fencing will match
the existing fence- and landscaping is not warranted as visibility is limited.
Mr. Malone asked what would be along either side of the sidewallc and Mr. Sindyla said they
would install black material to restrict weeds and place gravel along either side of the sidewalk.
Mr. Rerko prefers the sidewallc be 8 feet wide to eliminate maintenance concerns. Mr. Parry
suggested moving the northeast gate inward 4 feet or installing gates that open inward to ensure
the public wallc is not bloclced. Mr. Sindyla agreed and said their site would not require
emergency generators as it has its own four hour battery backup.
M?-. Laslco moved, seconded by Mr. Malone, to approve CMS10-24: Clearwire of 4930
Dover Center Road which consists of antenna collocation with the following conditions:
1. Sidewalk will be an 8 foot wide concrete walkway.
2. The access gate will be moved in 4 feet to ensure sidewalks are not blocked.
Motion was approved 7-0.
CMS10-27: North Olmsted Emer2encv Food Cupboard; 2_6272 Butternut Rifte Road
Ms. Wenger said building and site changes are to accommodate the City's new food cupboard.
There will be new siding with greater architectural character, new windows, and new decorative
lighting. On the front elevation, the front door will be replaced with a window and a garage door
will be added for deliveries. On the rear elevation, the octagonal entry vestibule will be
eliminated and a new entry/exit configuration has been designed. An existing man door along
the east side of the house will be eliminated. Site changes include a new driveway, new
accessible parlcing, removal of the existing wood ramp and replacement with a concrete walk and
lawn, and new landscaping. The City will evaluate restriping Butternut Ridge Road in the
vicinity to promote traffic safety. A modest sign will be installed in front of the house indicating
the location of the Oxcart Pantry and the Community Garden. Mr. Mitchell noted the driveway
being moved slightly and noted there would be no new lighting added to the site.
Mr. Malone suggested replacing the potentilla plants which become umnanageable with low
growing junipers which require less maintenance. A brief discussion ensued pertaining to the
need for a sign to identify the location of the oxcart pantry and community garden. The color
palette will Ue neutral colors so the house blends into the neighborhood. Mrs. Meredith aslced if
there would Ue site lighting and Ms. Wenger said the only lighting will be building lights at the
two main doors. Ms. Wenger said the city was hoping to have the project start at the beginning
of 2011 and have the project completed in the spring. Ms. Britt aslced if the landscaping could be
used to identify the property boundary and said vehicles were driving to the back of the site.
Mi•. Lasko moved, seconded by Mrs. Meredith, to approve CMS10-27: North Olmsted
Emergency Food Cupboard of 26272 Butternut Ridge Road replacing the proposed
potentilla plants with lorv growing junipers, which was approved 7-0.
4
