The members had some concern about velucle <br />storage, as far as where waiting cars would be stored and for how long. Mr. Tallon did not <br />want anyone to have to look at a wrecked vehicle for an extended period. of time. Mr. <br />Capone questioned what the policy is for the number of cars permitted to be parked outside <br />while awaiting repair. Mr. Conway advised the concern is more with an auto body shop as <br />people do not want to be looking at a damaged vehicle for weeks at a time. Mr. Capoue <br />advised usually vehicles are in and out however on the rare occasion where tliere may be hail <br />damage, the dents may take about a day to repair. Mr. Conway questioned how much area is <br />available belund the building. Mr. Capone estimated space for three to four vehicles belund <br />the building. Mr. Conway suggested malcing it a condition that storage of velucles be kept to <br />a minimum. Mr. Koeth questioned how many employees would be worldng in the shop at <br />any given time. Mr. Capone advised there would be a receptionist and one technician. He <br />advised it would be quick repair work although they do have to get behind the dent to do the <br />work. Mr. Asseff questioned if the interior of the door panel would have to be removed to <br />repair a dent on a door. Mr. Capone advised in the case of a door dent a wedge is placed in <br />which separates the window from the body skin so that no interior panels need to be <br />dismembered which provides the quiclmess for this type of repair. He noted all the tooLs are <br />all rod shaped and easily able to slide between the window and door panel. Mr. Tallon <br />opened up discussion to the audience but no interest was expressed. <br />R. Tallon moved to approve Dent Wizard, 25021 Lorain Road that this is a similar and <br />• <br />permitted use in a General Business district as a seivice entity and that the storage of cars will <br />be to a minimum so that there is no weekly storage ofvehicles. Tlie motion was seconded by <br />R. Koeth and unanimously approved. It was announced the next step for this proposal is the <br />B.Z.D. committee of counciL The developer was advised to contact the clerk of council next <br />week for possible meeting dates. <br />3. Mr. Patton stated he has been asked by the police <br />department to find a facility that would be approved to store the vehicles that are wrecked <br />and some impounds. He noted the area behind Suburban Auto has been used for this pu.rnose <br />and there is an existing wooden fence. Mr. Tallon questioned what would be done with the <br />front of the building. Mr. Patton advised cars will only be stored in the area fenced off and <br />there will be no run offinto the front of the building. Mrs. O'Rourke questioned the capacity <br />of the fenced in area. Mr. Patton confirmed there is room for twenty vehicles and any access <br />vehicles would be moved to the lot on Mills Road in North Ridgeville.
